Watch: The liberation of Jerusalem
On this day in the Hebrew calendar, we
celebrate the liberation of Jerusalem in
the 1967 Six-Day War.

Full Israeli annexation means that there will
not be a true peace between Israel and her
neighbors. This will redefine Europe’s role in
the region in a way not seen since the oil crisis
almost 50 years ago. It is still not certain whether
Israel’s annexation of its West Bank settlements
will go ahead as planned after July 1, as stipulated
in the new Israeli government’s coalition agree-
ment. Much can still happen in the region and in
the world that may alter Israel’s plans.

Arrogant words are sign of weakness

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on
Friday warned Iran not to threaten Israel with
destruction, saying the Iranians “will put them-
selves in a similar danger,” while Defense
Minister Benny Gantz dismissed the “arrogant”
words from Tehran as a “sign of weakness.”
“We repeat. Anyone who threatens to destroy
Israel will put themselves in a similar danger,”
Netanyahu said.
Palestinians Continue To Learn The Wrong
History Lesson
By Jonathan Tobin/JNS.org May 19, 2020
Palestinian Arabs continue to learn the wrong
history lesson. On May 15, as they do every year,
they relive the sorrow of 1948, when they remind
themselves of all the terrible things that happened
to them as a result of the creation of modern-day
Israel. Their narrative of a martyred people who
were driven from their homes and made stateless
victims is more than a political statement; it's a faith
that is integral to their identity. The yearly vow to
"return" to all that they lost 72 years ago--to reverse
the verdict of history--is so deeply embedded in their
consciousness that it has made it impossible for any
of their leaders to even consider formally giving it up.

European members of NATO told the United
States on Friday they were uneasy about its
plan to withdraw from the 35-nation Open
Skies treaty that allows unarmed surveillance
flights over member countries, an official of
the defense alliance said. Russia has repeatedly
violated the treaty’s terms. Washington will
formally pull out of Open Skies in six months.
[Treaty on Open Skies
The Treaty on Open Skies entered into force on
January 1, 2002, and currently has 35 party
states. It establishes a program of unarmed
aerial surveillance flights over the entire territory
of its participants. The treaty is designed to
enhance mutual understanding and confidence
by giving all participants, regardless of size, a direct
role in gathering information about military forces
and activities of concern to them.]
China's planned security agencies for Hong Kong
a 'death knell' for autonomy: Pompeo
Chinese plans to impose national security laws
on Hong Kong could see mainland intelligence
agencies set up bases there, raising fears of
direct law enforcement and what the United
States branded a “death knell” for the city’s
autonomy.
Will Some Churches Be Forced To Close For The
Entire Duration Of COVID-19?

Isn't it odd that Walmart stores all over the
nation have remained open throughout this
crisis but we are being told that it is "too risky"
to hold a church service in many states? During
this crisis it has often been said that "my rights
do not end where your fears begin", but right
now we are witnessing a stunning erosion of our
First Amendment rights.
