Cyberattack: Anti-Israel message
takes over multiple Israeli websites
Hundreds of Israeli websites were the target of
a cyberattack on Thursday morning, their
homepages being replaced with an anti-Israel
video and message in Hebrew and broken English:
“The countdown of Israel destruction has begun
since a long time ago.” The bottom of the page
credited a group called “Hackers_Of_Savior” for
the attack. The page title was changed to “Be
Ready for a Big Surprise” in Hebrew. Visitors to
the sites were asked to allow access to their
cameras.

Israelis need to be cautious, Cyrille Cohen, the
head of the immunotherapy laboratory at
Bar-Ilan University told the Post, as the number
of children and educational staff who entered
isolation reached into the dozens on Thursday.
"The numbers are very low, but the numbers
were very low when we started this pandemic.”
As of Thursday, at press time, there were 2,680
active cases of coronavirus, including 36 people
on ventilators. Some 279 people have died.

A group of 18 Senate Democrats sent a letter to
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Alternate
Prime Minister Benny Gantz, on Thursday, urging
them not to move forward with annexing Israeli
settlements in the West Bank. They went on to
say that annexation “would betray our shared
democratic values by denying Palestinians’ right
to self-determination in a viable, sovereign,
independent and contiguous state.”

Assistant Secretary for Terrorist Financing in the
U. S. Department of the Treasury Marshall Billingslea
“The president has made clear that we have a
tried and true practice here. We know how to
win these races and we know how to spend the
adversary into oblivion. If we have to, we will,
but we sure would like to avoid it,” Special
Presidential Envoy Marshall Billingslea said in an
online presentation to a Washington think tank.
A U.S. Memorial Day weekend like no other,
with parties and biker rallies on hold
Motorcycle rallies are a staple of the weekend.
AMVETS, a veterans group, had been expecting
up to half a million bikers at its Rolling to
Remember rally in Washington. But it
canceled the event, asking local chapters to
instead organize 22-mile (35-km) rides to
spotlight the estimated 22 veterans who die
by suicide each day.
