The ‘technical step’ that could decide the
    election - analysis

The big news was that Yisrael Beytenu leader
Avigdor Liberman would sign a surplus
    vote-sharing agreement
    with Blue and White,
a move downplayed by Liberman as a “technical
    step,” which it is.

    [Surplus-vote sharing agreements enable votes
for a party to move to another if they both have
votes beyond the amount a seat is calculated to
be worth. Calculations are done to determine
whether there are enough extra votes between
the two to give the party with more extra votes
    another seat.]

Danish PM says Trump's idea of selling
    Greenland to U.S. is absurd

“ Greenland is not for sale. Greenland is not
Danish. Greenland belongs to Greenland . I
strongly hope that this is not meant seriously,”
    Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen
told the newspaper Sermitsiaq during a visit
    to Greenland .

Apple CEO warns Trump about China tariffs,
    Samsung competition

Tariffs on an additional $300 billion worth of
    Chinese goods, including consumer electronics,
are scheduled to go into effect in two stages on
Sept. 1 and Dec. 15. Trump said Cook “made
a good case” that tariffs could hurt Apple given
that Samsung’s products would not be subject to
those same tariffs. “I thought he made a very
compelling argument, so I’m thinking about it,”
    Trump said.

‘Veggie Tales’ creator: 'Matter of time' before
Christian kids’ shows are 'forced' to address
    LGBT issues

“Parents are definitely going to have to deal
with a growing LGBT presence in children’s
media,” Vischer told The Christian Post. “It’s
going to show up more and more as the world
has decided that LGBT issues are in the same
categories as race and civil rights issues. So to
say you shouldn’t have a same-sex couple on
' Sesame Street ' is the equivalent of saying you
shouldn’t have a black couple on ' Sesame Street .'"
