Blue and White leader Benny Gantz accused
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of causing
harm to Israel in his handling of the cancelled
visits of Congresswomen Rashida Tlaib and
Ilhan Omar. He made the statement before Tlaib
decided not to accept Israel's conditions for
coming to Israel on a humanitarian basis to
visit her grandmother. Gantz said Netanyahu put
his own campaign ahead of the good of the country.
Israel agrees to exclude Judea, Samaria from
billion dollar trade deal with South Korea
The “multi-billion-dollar” free trade pact with
South Korea – excluding products from Judea,
Samaria and the Golan – is due to be signed next |
week. “This is the first time [an] Israeli government
has agreed to sign a free trade deal, the benefits of
which wouldn’t extend to the Jewish State’s disputed
territories,” Ynet writes.
Syria claims air defense defend against airstrike
Syria’s state media SANA reported on Thursday
evening that Syrian air defense confronted targets
that had infiltrated Syrian air space from the
direction of Lebanon, heading for Masyaf.
As is usual with Syrian reports about air defense
confronting air strikes, SANA claimed that they
had downed a hostile missile and “destroyed it”
in the skies over Masyaf in the countryside of
Hama north of Damascus.
IDF unveils future of armored fighting vehicle:
The Carmel
As part of the IDF’s continued efforts to retain a
qualitative military edge over its enemies, the
Defense Ministry unveiled on Sunday three new
prototypes for the Carmel advanced armored
fighting vehicle (AFV), which officers say will
revolutionize the battlefield. Designed to play
a lead role on the future battlefield, the combat
vehicle takes artificial intelligence capabilities
that enable full situational awareness and fast
responses to enemy threats while drastically
reducing the workload of the crew. With
numerous sensors and cameras, the Carmel
allows the crew to order autonomous actions
such as searching for several enemy targets
simultaneously and then prioritizing the
targets and off-road driving.

During his first week in office, the prime
minister told the Commons that he would
“unshackle” British officials stationed in
Brussels “right away” to use their talents
