ACROSS 27 COUNTRIES, Most Don’t Mind More
Religion in Society
According to a massive new report from the Pew
Research Center that queried more than 30,000
people across 27 countries, almost three times as
many Americans say they would view “a more
important role for religion” in the US as a positive
change (51%) versus a negative change (18%).
IRAN TO INCREASE NAVAL TIES WITH CHINA
“Given the strategic geopolitical situation (of both
states), today, we are witnessing a leap in marine
civilization in the Pacific Ocean by China and
Northern Indian Ocean by Islamic Iran, which will
force the arrogant powers to leave our naval zones
and the regional powers will certainly fill the security
vacuum and there will be no need to foreigners’
presence,” Rear Admiral Khanzadi was quoted as
saying in China on Monday, by Iran’s Fars News.
SANCTIONS ON IRANIAN OIL bring U.S. drivers
pain at the pump
American middle class consumers are enjoying
the strongest wage growth in a decade, but higher
gasoline prices are eating a good chunk of that
increase for many, and it looks like pump prices
are headed higher.
ITALY’s ‘PERMA-RECESSION’ could trigger a
€2 trillion (USD $2,243,960,000,000.00)
financial crisis that threatens the
eurozone itself
Italy has entered a "perma-recession" and
there is no obvious way out, analysts told
Business Insider. European Union rules
prevent the kind of government deficit
spending that might grow the economy. At
the same time, Italy's debt-to-GDP load has
reached heights not seen since World War II.
There is now a growing risk of a systemic
financial crisis, these analysts told Business
Insider. The scale of such a collapse would be
magnitudes greater than the Greek debt
crisis of 2015, and thus harder to contain.
NASA LANDER ‘DETECTS FIRST MARSQUAKE’
It is the first seismic signal detected on the surface
of a planetary body other than the Earth and its
Moon. Scientists say the source for this
"Marsquake" could either be movement in a
crack inside the planet or the shaking from a
meteorite impact. Nasa's InSight probe touched
down on the Red Planet in November last year.
HOW CHINA is REPLACING AMERICA as ASIA’s
MILITARY TITAN
Chinese leader Xi Jinping has refashioned the People's
Liberation Army into a force that's rapidly closing the gap
on U.S. firepower – and in some vital areas has surpassed it.
American victory over China in a regional war is no longer
assured.

Questions
If the Trump administration gets its way, federal law will
require this question to be asked of each person living in all
of the country's households in 2020: "Is this person a citizen
of the United States?" It's been close to 70 years since a
citizenship question has been included among the census
questions for every U.S. household.
