WATCH: The failed 'two-state solution
DOES a NEW DIG at the SITE of the ARK Prove Biblical
Account of Judean Kingdom is Overblown?
A recent dig at the Biblical site of Kiryat Yearim is a piece in the
puzzle that may settle a raging feud among archaeologists: was
King David a larger-than-life monarch who unified the Northern
and Southern Kingdom or was he a local chieftain whose role the
Bible exaggerated?
RUSSIA AGAIN SUCCESSFULLY TESTS SHIP-BASED
HYPERSONIC MISSILE - which will likely be ready for combat
by 2022
Russia has conducted another successful test of its ship-based
hypersonic missile, a weapon the United States is currently unable
to defend against, according to two people with direct knowledge
of a U.S. intelligence report. The people, who spoke to CNBC on
the condition of anonymity, said Russia has carried out five total
tests of its ship-based hypersonic missile since 2015.
RUSSIA’s PUTIN HAILS TRUMP’s DECISION to withdraw
U.S. troops from Syria
Putin referred to Trump informally as "Donald." That's his name
of course but it may not help dispel suggestions the two men are
closer than some think is politically acceptable amid conclusions
reached by U.S. intelligence agencies that Moscow tried to sway
the 2016 U.S. presidential election in favor of Trump, and as
special counsel Robert Mueller's investigations into alleged Russia
interference gather pace. Putin said he agreed with Trump's decision
to pull 2,000 U.S. troops out of northern Syria where they have been
helping to fight the Islamic State group extremists because "I don't
think they're needed. Let's not forget that the presence of (U.S.) troops
there is illegitimate. The U.S. is there without backing from the United
N0ations or an invitation from the Syrian government. Russia is there at
the invitation of the Syrian government. But if the U.S. has decided to
withdraw, that's good," he said.
RUSSIAN SENATORS VISIT ISRAEL to Discuss 'Joint Struggle
Against Terrorism'
A delegation of Russian senators began a visit to Israel on Wednesday
with a meeting at the Knesset to discuss the "joint struggle against
terrorism and anti-Semitism." The Russians senators are expected to
meet their Israeli counterparts to discuss cooperation to "advance the
two countries' mutual interests, security coordination and the situation
in the Middle East in general, with an emphasis on the northern front."
WHILE CHINA and the US SPAR OVER TRADE, Europe quietly
heads for its worst year since the financial crisis
2018 has been, by pretty much every quantifiable measure, a nightmare
for investors. The market has been permeated by bouts of crazy volatility
and huge price swings, but has ultimately fallen sharply, with all three
major US indexes set to end the year in negative territory. Economic
woes in Germany, a budget crisis in Italy, Brexit, and France's social
issues are all partly to blame for the market's horrible year in Europe.
