Israels political leadership has reportedly instructed
the army to prepare for a military offensive in the
Gaza Strip, to be initiated if the launching of incendiary
devices from the Hamas run coastal enclave into Israeli
territory continues.
According to a Channel 10 news report Tuesday, Israel
has set Friday as a deadline for the flaming kite and
balloon launches to cease. If this does not happen,
Israel may decide it has no choice but to embark on
a military campaign in the Strip, the report said.

Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked sees herself eventually
running for prime minister, she hinted in an interview
with The Jerusalem Post at the Knesset on Tuesday.
Shaked was reacting to the Posts exclusive story about
Australian diamond tycoon Rabbi Joseph Gutnick
endorsing her to replace Netanyahu, after he helped
him win his first election for prime minister in 1996.
Gutnick funded a last minute campaign for Netanyahu
that helped him defeat incumbent Shimon Peres, and
has told Shaked he would support her financially,
within the limits of Israeli law, when Netanyahu
leaves office.

after pulling out of a nuclear deal violates a 1955 treaty
between the two countries, the International Court of
