Iraqi forces gather in the Rawa area during the offensive

Iraqi forces say they have recaptured Rawa, the last town in the country controlled by so called
    Islamic State.

The move, which follows an offensive that began on Saturday, leaves the jihadist group on the verge
    of complete defeat in Iraq.

A few small areas are all that remain under the militants control in the country, after the larger town
    of alQam fell last week.

Prime Minister Haider alAbadi says Rawa was taken in mere hours.

Since our coalition was formed in 2014, ISIS has lost 95 percent of the territory it once controlled in
Iraq and Syria, Washingtons envoy to the coalition, Brett McGurk, said late Wednesday after a meeting
    in Jordan, according to AFP.

The jihadist group swept across Syria and Iraq the same year, declaring a cross border caliphate in
territory roughly the size of Britain, attracting thousands of foreign fighters.

Since then, several military offensives, including those backed by the U.S. led coalition, have since
seen IS lose most areas it once controlled.

Riyadh seems to have found the way to curb the budget deficit caused by lower oil prices. As the
Financial Times report, Saudi officials are offering the arrested royals a deal, pay up to 70 percent
f your wealth and go free.

The Saudi government could appropriate hundreds of billions of dollars from the arrested to refill
depleted state reserves, according to the media.

A humanitarian crisis is rapidly deepening in Yemen, where millions of aid reliant people have been
cut off from assistance since Saudi Arabia closed the countrys ports on Nov. 5. Riyadh eased the
blockade slightly following international outrage, but humanitarian officials say it is not enough.
Three UN agencies warned Thursday that the lives of millions were at risk if aid is not immediately
let in. According to Save the Children, 130 children are dying every day.

Another victory was scored against BDS in Spain, with a court ruling that boycott resolutions are
    discriminatory and illegal.

A Spanish court has dealt another legal blow to the anti Israel BDS (Boycott, Divestment and
Sanctions) movement operating in the country.

A district court in Seville issued a writ of interim injunction last week against the City Council
of La Roda de Andalucia, halting its boycott of Israeli products as well as its decision to support
    the BDS campaign.
