This link will offer a daily analysis of the eq activity, globally...like a daily summary. The person who offers this data, is Dr. Susanne Parmentier.

      http://www.petrachallusquakepredicti...keroundup.html

      Today's post included the folllowing:

STRONG X-CLASS SOLAR FLARE MAY PRESAGE STRONG SEISMICITY

A sudden unexpected solar flare of class X9.7 occurred on the sun today. In many cases in the past such sudden flares often have preceded by about 4-5 days strong global earthquakes. The locations of such earthquakes often occur near the areas of the earth which were directly under the sun or opposite the sun (at local solar midnight or local solar noon) at the time of the flare. The Solar Flare Effects (SFE) may be related to telluric (ground) currents generated by strong generated ring currents in the ionosphere or by other effects related to the flare or to effects related to the strong geomagnetic storms which normally accompany such flares. The time delay is related to the exact cause and effect relation between flares and subsequent earthquakes. Because this flare occurred when the solar activity was at low levels, it may have even greater effects. Areas which were at local midnight at the time of the flare included much of western North America. Those at local noon included regions of eastern Europe, Turkey and much of east Africa. A series of such flares in the 1990's were commonly followed approximately 4.5 days later by subsequent earthquakes on the East Africa Rift Valley - Ethiopia, Congo, Malawi etc. Today's flare is the strongest in at least two years. Today's global seismicity was at quiet levels but this could change to stronger levels in the next several days. Parameters and analyses for today's activity follow.

Researchers warn of another large-scale Indian Ocean tsunami

Researchers on Monday warned that within the next few decades, another large-scale tsunami could flood densely populated areas of western coastal Sumatra, who's south was completely devastated by the December 2004 tsunami.

Using samples of coral from the Mentawai Islands, the researchers from the Caltech University, University of Southern California (USC) and Indonesia conducted computer simulations of the 1797 and 1833 tsunamis, allowing them to evaluate worst-case scenarios for future tsunamis.

The computer modeling determined that two river valleys near Bengkulu, a coastal city of about 350,000 people, could experience flooding up to several kilometers inland.

The computer models "confirm a substantial exposure of coastal Sumatran communities to tsunami surges," said lead author Jose Borrero, a scientist at USC's Tsunami Research Center.

The study found that the same fault that caused the 2004 tsunami extends farther southeast beneath the Indian Ocean, just off the southwestern coast of Sumatra.

The fault produced large earthquakes and tsunamis in 1797 and 1833, and researchers said the events appear to recur every 230 years on an average.

The study found that offshore islands could offer some protection to the larger city of Padang, but during the 1797 tsunami, the waves reportedly carried a 200-ton ship and other vessels into the town.

"The population of Padang in 1797 and 1833 was a few thousand," Caltech geology professor Kerry Sieh said. "Now it is about 800,000, and most of it is within a few meters of sea level."

"We hope that these initial results will help focus educational efforts, emergency preparedness activities and changes in the basic infrastructure of cities and towns along the Sumatran coast, " he said.

"When we tell people living along this 700-kilometer section of the Sumatran coast that they will likely experience a big tsunami within the next 30 years, they ask for details," Sieh said.

"How much time after the earthquake will they have before the tsunami strikes? How big will the waves be? How far inland should they be prepared to run? What areas are likely to suffer tsunami damage? This paper is our first attempt to answer these important questions," he said.

The study was published in Monday's edition of the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.

In the last four months the earth experienced the largest three earthquakes in the last two hundred years. The under water volcanoes and earthquakes have gone up 88% over the last three years. The continental earthquakes have gone up by 62% during the same time frame. The rate of increase of these earthquakes and volcanoes when drawn against time is staggering.

Some scientists are now afraid that we are moving towards 2012 with ticking time bomb under us. Something catastrophic like the lost world Atlantis can repeat.

Solar activity w/the full moon is showing a change in crustal stress. (Last reading I viewed was 12/6/06 21:00)

Ch. 2 has been consistantly "thickened" for over a month now (should be a straight thin line) and this reflects vertical tilt of the crust-seismometer.

Channel 4 is showing a response to inferred Viscoelastic Fluid (Stress) Changes at Depth near the location of the lab at the Pacific and North American Plate Boundary; San Andreas Fault (Cajon Pass). Until March of this year it would show only slight shifts around that faint middle line in the middle of the graph.

Sanhedrin to Purchase Sheep for Passover Sacrifice

(IsraelNN.com) The modern-day Sanhedrin, headed by Rabbi Adin Steinsaltz, has decided to purchase a herd of sheep to be used for the Passover sacrifice ritual to be held this year if possible at the Temple Mount.

The Sanhedrin, which was formed several years ago, meets once a week, according to the Haaretz news service, in what it says is a renewal of the Jewish High Court that existed more than a thousand years ago.

A member of the Sanhedrin, Professor Hillel Weiss, said in an interview that the symbolic Passover sacrifice is intended to remind Jews that the Temple rituals will resume when the Messiah comes.
