Great Idea Helene - I like this format..

Praying for all families...Heavenly Father - we thank you for the ulitmate sacrifice these dear departed soldiers have made in the cause of freedom for others, laying their lives down for friends , and even strangers. You say there is no greater love than this. Please bring an overwhelming sense of comfort and peace to all their loved ones and friends - Lord, and let them know the loss was not in vain. Bear them up as long as is needed as they each deal with the loss in their own unique ways, and help them to sense Your presence and overwhelming love as you wrap Your loving arms around them. Bring into their lives other saints Lord, even if they do know know You - that can provide succor and compassionate support, and share the love of Your Son, Jesus. Bless them with all Your best, dear Lord....In Jesus name....

      Lord,
My heart goes out to everyone of these families, as well as the friends and loved ones of all of the individuals named above. As we head into the Christmas season, I know that it will be a dark and painful time for all of them. Pour your peace and comfort into their hearts. Provide the support they need, emotionally and in practical ways. I pray that they will turn to You in their grief and find the help that only You can give. In Jesus name, Amen!!

            "Mansions of the Lord"

            We Were Soldiers Soundtrack Lyrics
Artist: US Military Academy Glee Club and Metro Voices Lyrics
Song: The Mansions of the Lord Lyrics

To fallen soldiers let us sing,
Where no rockets fly nor bullets wing,
Our broken brothers let us bring
To the Mansions of the Lord

            No more weeping,
            No more fight,
No friends bleeding through the night,
            Just Devine embrace,
            Eternal light,
In the Mansions of the Lord

            Where no mothers cry
            And no children weep,
            We shall stand and guard
            Though the angels sleep,
Oh, through the ages let us keep
            The Mansions of the Lord
