Thank you Helene for your faithfullness in posting these updates. May the Lord bless you...

Dear Father - please continue to provide comfort, healing and peace for the family and friends of those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice for their country and its protection. Let them know, Lord, that their losses were not in vain - and that Your perfect purposes are being accomplished through all of this war and suffering - that You are still in perfect control of all that transpires.

We pray that you continue to give our military planners and military contractors breakthrough technology and thinking that will continue to find ways to protect our troops, those of our alliles, and to frustrate, foil and destroy the plans of the enemy. May the enemy suffer bitter division and infighting and may the purpose of peace and freedom may be accomplished in both Iraq and Afghanistan so that your Word may spread quickly, and the church grow explosively in there countries. In Jesus name...amen.

If my count is correct, we now have 200 names here since Nov. 28/05
Many are in their late teens or early twenties. The following statement is one that keeps coming up, again, and again: ____________was killed when an improvised explosive device detonated near his HMMWV. I used to think these vehicles could protect their occupants better, but I now see that's not the case.

Lord, we ask for your protection on the men and woman who right now are risking their lives for the cause of freedom. In Jesus name, Amen!

Dear Lord - we ask You to bless the families and friends of these dear departed soldiers. Help ease their pain and grief and become an anchor of overwhelming hope and peace in the midst of their sorrows. May those who do not even know You come to know and feel Your powerful presence speaking to their hearts through all of this, that they might be saved, even in the midst of tragedy. Provide meaning and hope to what seems to be unbearable tragedy and pain. Its in Christ's name we pray...amen...
