I got this in an email today; I don't usually pass on chain letters but this one seemed different. Chad is still alive but needs prayers desperately.

PRAYER CHAIN FOR CHAD FIELD

Please don't break this prayer chain.

From: Vicky Field - Granbury, TX.

My son has been shot in Falujah.

I wanted to get everyone to pray for my son Chad.

Today, Sunday, I got a call from the Army that my son had been shot in the head.

I am asking for all your prayers.

He was in a Humvee going through Falujah fighting and a gang

of militia fighters fired on the Humvee and hit Chad in the head.
The driver got him out of the city and took him to Baghdad.

He was in fatal condition, but now has been upgraded to stable critical.

His dad and I are on standby to fly to Washington then

on to Germany as soon as the military calls us to go.



The Army is trying to stabilize him enough to fly to Germany and at that time we will leave. Please pray that my son will not have brain damage and

that he will be restored and healed by the blood of Jesus,

and the grace of God.



I ask for you to pass this prayer request on so there will be

many prayer warriors praying for him.

on Jan. 15, when his HMMVW accidentally struck an M1A2 Abrams tank and rolled over. Kendall was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 68th Armor Regiment,
3rd Heavy Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Carson, Colo.

If I have counted right, there are now about 121 names of soldiers who have died in the past 2 months, serving their country . There are so many families who are suffering, and though each loss is meaningful, it is noteworthy that many of those who died were in their early twenties. The amount of names coming in here are staggering.
Lord, please pour out your healing power into the grieving hearts of those who have lost their loved ones in a foreign land. Help them each day to go on for the sake of other children and family members. Surround them with loving support and meet their individual needs.

Pfc. Kasper A. Dudkiewicz, 22, of Mangilao, Guam, died in Mosul,
Iraq, on Jan. 15, when his HMMWV was involved in a vehicle collision.
Dudkiewicz was assigned to the 511th Military Police Company, 91st Military
Police Battalion, 10th Mountain Division, Fort Drum, N.Y.

Chief Warrant Officer 3 Rex C. Kenyon, 34, of El Segundo, Calif.
Chief Warrant Officer 2 Ruel Mamaril, 34, of Wahiawa, Hawaii.
They died in Baghdad, Iraq, on Jan. 16 when their AH64D (Apache) helicoptor
was shot down while they were conducting aerial patrols. Both pilots were
assigned to the 1st Battalion, 4th Aviation Regiment (Attack), Combat Aviation Brigade, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Hood, Texas.

17 from a non-combat-related illness. Shepherd was assigned to the Army's 2nd Battalion, 502nd Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division, Fort Campbell, Ky.

Killed were:
Staff Sgt. Rickey Scott, 30, of Columbus, Ga.
Sgt. Dennis J. Flanagan, 22, of Inverness, Fla.
Spc. Clifton J. Yazzie, 23, of Fruitland, N.M.
Spc. Matthew C. Frantz, 23, of Lafayette, Ind.
They died in Al Huwijah, Iraq on Jan. 20, when an improvised explosive device detonated near their HMMWV during patrol operations.
Scott, Flanagan and Yazzie were assigned to the 1st Battalion,
327th Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division,
Fort Campbell, Ky. Frantz was assigned to the 1st Special Troops Battalion, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division, Fort Campbell, Ky.

Tech. Sgt. Jason L. Norton, 32, of Miami, Okla.
Staff Sgt. Brian McElroy, 28, of San Antonio, Texas.
They were killed on Jan. 22, when their vehicle struck an
improvised explosive device while conducting convoy escort duties in the
vicinity of Taji, Iraq. Both airmen were assigned to the 3rd Security Forces Squadron, Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska.

Requesting Prayer for the family, friends, and loved ones of four Marines who were supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Cpl. Carlos Arrelanopandura, 22, of Los Angeles, Calif.
Pvt. Lewis T. D. Calapini, 21, of Waipahu, Hawaii
Lance Cpl. Brandon Dewey, 20, of San Joaquin, Calif.
Lance Cpl. Joshua A. Scott, 24, of Tunnel Hill, Ga.
Arrelanopandura and Dewey died Jan. 20 from a suicide
vehicle-borne improvised explosive device while conducting combat operations
in Haqlaniyah, Iraq. They were both assigned to 3rd Battalion, 1st Marine
Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton,
Calif. During Operation Iraqi Freedom, their unit was attached to 2nd Marine
Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force.
Calapini and Scott died Jan. 23 from a non-hostile vehicle
accident near Al Taqaddum, Iraq. They were assigned to Anti-Terrorism
Battalion, 4th Marine Expeditionary Brigade, II Marine Expeditionary Force,
Camp Lejeune, N.C.
The accident is currently under investigation.
