Prayer for a friend, please

We would appreciate you all praying for a friend here in Florida.

George is a fellow I've witnessed to a couple of times. We learned this afternoon, his wife Cheryl was involved in a very serious auto accident on Monday. She was rear-ended while stopped at a red light, by a car traveling 60 - the driver was texting. Cheryl was driving, and an employee of theirs who was riding with her was killed.

Cheryl in in critical condition in a hospital about 45 miles away. Apparently she will survive, but it will be a long and difficult recovery. Massive internal injuries. She's presently in an induced coma.

George and their son Eric, are very upset. Please pray for this family - especially that I'll have the opportunity to witness to all of them.

She's a bit better today, we heard from George. Bleeding stopped from all the internal injuries, and she moved her head side to side on command. But they also found 2 broken vertebrae. Apparently no spinal cord injury. Long road to go for these folks.

Her son says she's a bit better every day. Surgery probably tomorrow for the broken back. Spleen and liver are healing. The doctors told him that if the back surgery goes OK, they will try to get her off the ventilator in another week, and then out of ICU, and to a regular room. So things are a bit better in this family.

Then yesterday another young fellow that works there told me his brother Nathan was in a car wreck on Sunday - another broken back and fractured pelvis. Nathan is in Pennsylvania. I told him (Matt) that Tasarwen and I would be praying for his brother - he thanked me for that. So maybe you all could share in this, too...

Cheryl is much improved. Out of ICU in another week or so.

Nathan is home.
