  • Husband's knee surgery

    Hi guys,

I wanted to ask if you would pray for my husband's upcoming surgery. It will be on Thursday morning. He is getting very nervous about it to the point of having physical signs or unrest. He is a godly man that loves the Lord and knows it will be ok, but still... it hits him when he least expects it.

This is an intensive recovery. It's usually about nine months to a one year recovery period. He won't even be able to go back to work on Sundays (church) until close to the holidays. This is really bothering him. After the surgery he will be on bed rest for quite some time. At best 2 weeks - at worst 2 months (from what his doctor said that's not totally unusual).
That's probably what is bothering him the most. He will miss everyone so much.

He is praying that he can at least cook at Thanksgiving. I know that sounds odd. I do help in the kitchen, but he looooves to cook (and I sooooo don't complain ).

    Thanks so much everyone.
    In His care,
    Tammy

    Re: Husband's knee surgery

I pray that he will have the energy and will recover more quickly than expected - that he WILL be able to handle the thanksgiving dinner and enjoy doing it. I pray that 2 weeks is plenty of time for the bedrest and that he will be back at work in no time, even if it's with some minor limitations. I pray that he will have the moral support of fellow believers/coworkers during this time. and I pray for his peace before during and after this surgery. It is stressful to anticipate something like that. I pray also for the Lord to guide the surgeon's hands and let this surgery do what it is supposed to do with no complications. in Jesus' Name.

Thanks guys. He's having major pain issues right now. They can't give him what he really needs because it makes his heart rate drop. Please pray for them to be able to manage the pain. He has an extremely high pain tolerence, really strange... poor guy.

praying for him to be able to manage the pain - praying that the Lord Himself will soothe the pain and help him to relax so that he can rest and recuperate.

Dear Lord, You are our Healer, you give us strength when we can't cope by ourselves. Lord, place your loving hands upon his knee and the surrounding area that is giving him pain. Cause this pain to leave his body now in the Name of Jesus! Amen!
