We are in a drought and are in dire need of rain. We have several large fires burning in my county, Brevard, right now. 9 to be exact. Please pay for protection of the homes that are near these fires, for the wild animals--and boy do we need rain! It's pretty much this way from Brevard County North to Jacksonville. They've had to close I-95 in several places. To exacerbate matters we are having high winds which are making the fires extremely difficult to contain or get under control. Thanks!

The threat continues on today. We will continue to have high winds but they have shifted from the West to the NE. We have fire fighters from around the state here to help. We desperately need rain or this will continue. You can smell the smoke in the air even though I live about 25 miles North of where the worst fires are. Thanks for the continued prayers.Comment

Is this the one that was intentionally started by someone there?
I heard about one in Florida that was arson.

Yes, they believe that at least one of the fires was due to arson. As of the last news report that I saw, the firef ighters have finally gotten them contained. However, with the high winds, that could change in a heart beat. Praying for our fire fighters--and all the others who have come from around the state to help.Comment

They have the fires 70% contained today--Friday. However, we are still in desperate need of rain with none in sight. Thanks for all your prayers.Comment

My prayers to all who were affected by the fires. I had a very nerve racking day this past monday. My ex, and my 3 children live in palm bay. They live in the northeast area. I called her cell phone all day. I was worried sick, until I finally recieved a phone call from her at 4pm on her way home from work. This after phoning several agencies, including my local chapter of the red cross, and the palm bay police department. Thank God they were kept out of harms way.
