UPDATE: Not putting an offer on house

My dear sisters and brothers in Christ, you don't know how much I am Blessed and appreciate you all for your prayers, advice and support for me.

After much prayer and number crunching I have decided not to put an offer on the house I saw last Wednesday. I am at peace with this decision.

It is in a different county than the one I am in and after much research and phone calls to the assessor's office on Monday, I found that the tax rates are much higher than the county I am in. Looking at the assessed value on the home for the past 5 years, I see where the appraised value has gone up yearly, which of course raises the tax liability yearly. Even with an over 65 homestead exemption the tax liability is very high.

I feel so blessed of the Lord to have such an analytical mind and have to know who, what, when, where and why

I will say that these ole brain cells of mine got a very good workout the past 4 weeks

I also want to add that the Lord truly walked me through the past 4 weeks looking at houses, He taught me so very much of what to look for when buying a house.

I had not purchased a house since 1975 and that was with my husband who did most of the negotiating.

I wish I could explain in detail how the Lord led me through making the decision on the house. All I can say is there is no doubt in my mind that He is in control and will lead when asked.

My Insurance Agent who lives in that particular county told me that the street outside the subdivision floods so bad that you cannot get in or out of the subdivision when it rains really hard. God let me find out all kinds of things the Realtor did not tell me
