  • Re: Ezekiel 36 and the Mountains of Israel Pt II

I am finding some scriptural parallels the last few days, I'll share it when I get it all put together, I get a few pieces in place then a box of pieces get thrown out and I am in a flurry to try and piece them all together. It is interestingly kind of like what you mentioned above HSB, it is like a reversal of events (first they wandered then were in the land, this time they are in the land but wandering...back then the older generation died first, this time the younger generation seems to be the one lost?) The overall picture though seems to be of Esau getting a spanking and Israel chastized for trusting him (Esau). The more I study, the more confinced I am of a final battle of Esau and Jacob in the last days, Jesus will be victorious for His people though, Amen!

There are still rumours of backroom negotiations going on about two states implementation. Here are a few comments from my chair's viewpoint. In 8 days we reach Yom Yerushalayim, the 40th anniversary of the occupation (in a day) of the west bank and Jerusalem. I think that is a special day. Perhaps it will pass uneventfully but I think we are getting quite close to a decision being made to formally give up the entire area and retreat behind the 1967 armistice lines. That would spell the exact opposite of what happened thousands of years ago when Israel came out of the desert after 40 years and crossed the Jordan River to possess the Land. The manna stopped the next day. They had arrived in the Promised land. It was to then take 7 years to conquer the entire area (note that Caleb was 78 when they started this and concluded at age 85). I think a parallel is about to be worked out in our time. Frightful decisions are about to be made that will usher in years of grief for Israelis. Call this the 70th week of Daniel if you like. Their deliverance will come down the road of agony ...after the birth pangs are over.
Folks I apologize in advance if nothing happens on May 16th or 17th etc. I don't claim to be a prophet, simply looking for potential parallel fulfillments. Time will tell soon enough.
HSB, do you have a scripture reference you for this I can check out?

surely! Joshua 14:7 says Caleb was 40 when the spies went into the Land. According to Deut2:14 it then took a further 38 years to get to the Promised land (note that they had already spent time at Mt Sinai earlier). Caleb was 78 years old when the conquest started. Now in Joshua 14:10 he says he was kept alive a further 45 years since the spy incident. "So here I am today eighty-five years old!" Note the last verse of Joshua 14 says the "Land had rest from war"...how nice!! In fairness the NIV study note says as a footnote to Joshua 11:18 "Seven years had elapsed from the beginning of the conquest until he (Caleb) took Hebron"

PS Here is another tidbit to look at ....wonder if that is why there is a hurricane brewing 3 weeks before the "season" starts.

Sources: Olmert held secret talks on West Bank
Struggling to stay in office, PM set to negotiate state with Palestinians

Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert (PBS.org)
JERUSALEM – Officials from Prime Minister Ehud Olmert's office held secret talks the past few days with aides of Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas pledging Olmert is willing to carry out Israeli withdrawals and hold immediate final status negotiations to create a Palestinian state, according to top political sources here.

The information comes after a government-appointed committee last week released a report slamming Olmert's decision-making process during last summer's war against the Lebanese Hezbollah militia. The report prompted mass demonstrations and widespread calls for Olmert to resign, including from the prime minister's own deputy, Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni.

WND reported in the weeks prior to the report's release Olmert, anticipating a major backlash, held meetings with leading leftist figures here pledging to carry out Israeli withdrawals in exchange for their continued support. The sources said Olmert told the leftist leaders he is willing to reach a final status agreement with the Palestinians, including an Israeli withdrawal from the West Bank, which borders Jerusalem and is within rocket range of Tel Aviv.
Today, Israeli political sources told WND secret talks were held with Abbas' aides in advance of a meeting between Olmert and Abbas. According to the sources, Olmert told Abbas' officials he is willing to evacuate large swaths of the West Bank and sign a final deal to create a Palestinian state.

Chief Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat confirmed to WND a meeting will be held between Olmert and Abbas in the coming days.

"There will be a meeting. We don't have an exact date but we've been in contact with our Israeli colleagues and hope to hold talks very soon leading to the implementation of the U.S.-backed roadmap, which calls for a Palestinian state," Erekat told WND.

Olmert's office said a meeting with Abbas will be set up but denied there were secret talks in which pledges were made to the Palestinians.

"I don't know anything about back-channel talks," said Olmert spokeswoman Miri Eisin.

Since the war, there have been widespread calls for Olmert to resign, culminating in a massive rally last week in Tel Aviv attracting upwards of 200,000 people. The prime minister has faced devastatingly low poll numbers the past few days, but some analysts speculated his ratings could rise if he reached out to his leftist base and conducted negotiations with the Palestinian Authority or Syria.

This week., U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice canceled a trip to Israel, reportedly out of concern for the political turmoil threatening Olmert's government.

"There's obviously a lot of politics in Israel that they are working through at this point," said State Department Spokesman Sean McCormack.

But Erekat told WND the Palestinians are willing to negotiate with Olmert in spite of the state of political affairs in Jerusalem.

"Look, we have our own turmoil in Palestinian politics, but that shouldn't delay us from pursuing an agreement," he said.

          HSB,

Thanks for the reference. Concerning Olmert, it's like an oy vey everyday. If they want to talk, the PA should first do what they already promised. If they can't keep their word, there is no reason to talk.

King Abdullah II of Jordan looks back to the West Bank

Our Middle East sources reveal: The plan calls for a new state framework linking Jordan and the Palestinian Authority, to be established before the rise of an independent Palestinian state. Amman is not thinking in terms of confederation or the West Bank’s reversion to annexed Hashemite territory, the status it held before Jordan’s 1967 war defeat.

Our Middle East sources reveal the outline was presented last week to the Israeli government and PA chairman Mahmoud Abbas by former Jordanian prime minister Abdul Salem Majali, who led the negotiations which culminated in the 1994 peace accord with Israel. Jordanians would also be part of the Palestinian team holding final-status negotiations with Israel. Amman is acting out of concern for the shaky Palestinian Authority, but DEBKAfile notes that the framework offered could draw Israeli into backdoor recognition of Hamas’s role in Palestinian government.

Jordan's king to meet with Abbas next week in Ramallah

            By Haaretz Service and DPA

Jordan's King Abdullah II is due to visit Ramallah Sunday for talks with Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, officials in Abbas' office said on Friday.

A Palestinian senior official said that the king would arrive by helicopter, and would hold a short visit in Ramallah with Abbas.

The official said that the two would discuss the political situation in the region, and Arab countries' efforts to promote regional peace, including the Arab Peace Initiative.

In Jordan, the King's palace did not confirm the visit.

The visit comes as foreign ministers of Jordan, Egypt and Israel on Thursday held the first-ever talks on a 2002 peace initiative, which was relaunched at the Arab League's March summit in Riyadh and offers comprehensive Arab recognition of Israel in return for a full withdrawal from the West Bank and East Jerusalem.

An Arab League delegation is also due to pay an unprecedented visit to Israel to discuss the plan, the sides announced Thursday.

Three weeks ago, Israeli and Jordanian officials said Prime Minister Ehud Olmert had invited Abdullah to make a historic visit to Jerusalem in mid-May and the king was weighing the invitation.

But Abdullah would not include Jerusalem in Sunday's trip, Olmert's spokeswoman, Miri Eisin said.

Instead, the king is to meet Olmert on Tuesday in the ancient Jordanian city of Petra, on the sidelines of a conference for Nobel Prize laureates.

Here is a little tidbit from Arutz Sheva
              http://www.israelnationalnews.com/Blogs/Blog.aspx/2

              23 Iyar 5767, 5/11/2007
Beware of a Possible "Peace" Surprise!

we might very well find ourselves in a situation where the Government will be willing to make far-reaching concessions to our neighbors not because they believe them to be in the broader national interest, but rather because they serve their own narrow political self-interest.
Ehud Olmert is in trouble. Big trouble.
Between the findings of the Winograd Commission, and the slew of criminal investigations being conducted against him, the Prime Minister's popularity has sunk to all-time lows. His governing coalition appears increasingly fragile, and calls for him to resign grow louder with each passing day.
And this should have us all very, very worried - because in his hopelessly weakened state, the premier may very well decide to take rash or desperate steps in the diplomatic sphere in an attempt to stave off the possibility of being forced from office.
And the spurt of diplomatic activity over the past few days may just point in such a direction. Israeli Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni met with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, and agreed to a visit by an Arab League delegation in Israel. King Abdullah of Jordan will be meeting soon with PA Chairman Abu Mazen, and the Lebanese Prime Minister published an op-ed in the New York Times calling on Israel to accept the Saudi peace plan.
And so, we might very well find ourselves in a situation where the Government will be willing to make far-reaching concessions to our neighbors not because they believe them to be in the broader national interest, but rather because they serve their own narrow political self-interest.
Sound cynical? Perhaps. But it wouldn't be the first time that a prime minister made fateful decisions based on political, rather than strategic, calculations. So brace yourselves for a possible diplomatic surprise - one that is likely to be detrimental, rather than advantageous, to Israel and its interests.

                Hello All:

We are now into the 15th May, 2007... and I came across an interesting insight by Ron Taylor at Like810.com

Here is what he had to say a couple of days ago...

The second month of the Jewish Lunar Calendar is the month of Iyar. This name is not found in the Bible. The second month is thought to have been so named during the Babylonian Captivity. There are several interesting events that occurred in the second month:

The second Passover occurred in the second month. (Numbers 9:11)

This was an opportunity to participate in Passover, given by the Lord to those who were "ceremonially unclean" at the time of the first Passover. It is a picture of the Lord giving Israel, who missed the Messiah the first time, another opportunity.

The Children of Israel left the area of Mount Sinai for their journey to the Promised Land. (Numbers 10:11)

Solomon began the first Temple. (First Kings 6:1)

Zerubbabel began the second Temple. (Ezra 3:8)

The theme of these events is very interesting. The journey from Sinai was a step up to a new level in the history of the Children of Israel, and began the same month, Iyar. The foundation of Solomon's Temple indicates a step up to a new level. Prior to this, the Lord's Ark of the Covenant "dwelled" in the Tabernacle, a tent. The later rebuilding of the Temple was a step up from captivity, deportation and destruction.

In 1948 David Ben Gurion, the Prime Minister of Israel, declared Israel a state, in the second month, Iyar, of the Jewish Calendar. This was a large step up from over 1800 years of being deported from the Promised Land and wandering the world over. Ben Gurion made the Declaration on May 14th. The next day, May 15th, the Israeli War of Independence began with attacks from the Arabs.

In 1967 the Egyptian army was gathered on the Western border of Israel. On June 5th the Israeli air force surprised the Egyptians, Jordanians, Syrians and Iraqis by attacking. The famous Six Day War began. It was the second month, Iyar, of the Jewish Calendar. Gershon Solomon, of The Temple Mount Faithful, reports supernatural events that occurred during this short war. It was he who blew the Shofar on the Temple Mount when the Israeli army captured that precious piece of real estate on the third day of the war. The gaining control of Jerusalem, and specifically the Temple Mount, was an enormous step up for the Children of Israel.

There are great variances between the dates of the Jewish Calendar and our Gregorian Calendar. For example, the Six Day War began on June 5, 1967, or Iyar 27. The Israeli War of Independence began May 15, 1948. There are three weeks between these two dates. And yet, this year, Anno Domino 2007, May 15 th falls on Iyar 27. In 2007 the anniversaries of the beginning of the War of Independence and the Six Day War both occur on the same day!
Bear in mind that Iyar 27, 2007 also marks the 40th anniversary of the Six Day War. It was 40 years ago that the Jews won, and then gave back, control of the Temple Mount to the Arabs, because they feared the giant Arab nations. This reminds us of the 40 years spent in the Wilderness because the Children of Israel feared the giants in the Promised Land.
I do not believe in coincidences when it comes to the Lord and Israel. God is in control. I suspect this day, May 15, 2007 may be important in some manner. Watch Israel! May the Lord be praised forever.

For a detailed history of the Six Day War and the events leading up to it, please see:

Jordan's Abdullah tells summit absence of peace "devastating"

                    By Associated Press

Jordan's ruler sounded the alarm Friday, telling a gathering of some 1,000world politicians and businessmen that the absence of peace and prolonged Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territories have exacerbated Palestinian suffering.

There can be no more delay, King Abdullah II warned in a speech, opening the three-day meetings of the Geneva-based World Economic Forum on the shores of the Dead Sea.
The king said that three of every five Palestinians looking for work can't find a job, and that hundreds of thousands are living in misery. This suffocating situation has brought poverty, malnutrition, frustration and radicalization, Abdullah added.

Abdullah is making a new attempt to revive Mideast peace efforts as he hosts the forum, a gathering overshadowed by deadly Palestinian internal fighting, Israeli airstrikes in the Gaza Strip and the ongoing bloodshed in neighboring Iraq.

The king had hoped to host Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas at the forum, but Abbas could not attend, caught up in trying to defuse the battles between gunmen from the rival Islamic militant Hamas and his more moderate Fatah faction in Gaza. Abdullah had wanted to prod Abbas to take concrete steps back to the negotiating table with Israel, in the same way he pushed Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert during talks in Jordan on Tuesday.

Olmert promised to seriously consider an Arab peace plan for ending the
conflict. But he also called on Arab leaders to hold direct talks with Israel on the proposal - a nonstarter for most Arab countries, which have not signed peace deals with Israel.

At the Dead Sea gathering Friday, Arab League chief Amr Moussa said both the Palestinians and Israelis were to blame for the violence that has plunged Gaza into chaos.

"It doesn't mean that the Palestinians aren't responsible because they
shouldn't have resorted to ... bloodshed, he said. Compounded with the Israeli occupation and the violence against them and without hope that a state is coming, what do you expect?"

Meanwhile, Abbas aide and chief Palestinian negotiator, Saeb Erekat said
Abdullah put his finger on the dot in remarks on the Palestinian suffering.

"The situation is dire. It wasn't created overnight. It's desperate," Erekat told reporters as he emerged from a conference room here.

"What is happening in Gaza's streets is the darkest chapter in Palestinian history. It's partly due to the absence of the rule of law, the one authority, the one gun," Erekat said.

In past weeks, Jordan and other U.S. Arab allies have been trying to press the case that quick progress toward reviving the peace process is vital to avert increasing militancy and instability in the Mideast.
They have presented the Arab initiative as an opportunity for a breakthrough.

But so far, the proposal has not gotten off the ground, with Israel speaking positively of it but rejecting key provisions, including the call to solve the Palestinian refugee issue. Along with the internal fighting in Gaza, Olmert also faces harsh criticism at home for his leadership during Israel's war with Hezbollah guerrillas in Lebanon last summer.

But Abdullah remained hopeful, telling the conference that the Arab plan
presented a historic opportunity to achieve a just, comprehensive and lasting settlement. He warned that peace must be achieved now, this year, before any more generations suffer, before any more destruction takes place.

The king also outlined other regional challenges, including scarce water
resources in the mostly arid Mideast.

If we do not commit the necessary investment to resolve this problem, we will not be fighting for peace, we will be fighting for our lives, he said.

Discussion of ways to end the Palestinian-Israeli conflict will dominate the agenda of the forum, which will be attended by Israeli Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni, Pakistani Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz and Afghan President Hamid Karzai.

Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki also is set to participate in the conference. On Thursday, Mottaki said Iran and the U.S. would hold talks in Baghdad on Iraq's spiraling security situation on May 28.

The conference is the third World Economic Forum in the Middle East hosted by Jordan. Last year, the event took place in Egypt, where it will return next year.

EU's Solana to visit Mideast, urge calm amid surge in violence

By Haaretz Service and The Associated Press

European Union Foreign Policy Chief Javier Solana headed to the Middle East on Monday to call for a halt to the latest upsurge in violence in the region, his office said in a statement.

Solana was planning to visit Israel, the Palestinian territories, Lebanon and Egypt during his four-day trip, the statement said.

There has been a significant increase in violence across the region in recent weeks, with Palestinian infighting and Israeli strikes on Gaza sparked by Qassam rocket fire on its southern communities.

Solana will express the EU's support for the latest Arab League peace initiative and backing for the Lebanese government, as well as underscoring the importance of national unity among the Palestinians, the statement from his office added.

Solana is due to meet Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, Lebanese Prime Minister Fuad Siniora and Arab League Secretary General Amr Moussa.

Cabinet to mull int'l force at Philadelphi route

By Aluf Benn, Amos Harel and Barak Ravid

The Foreign Ministry is putting together a plan to station an international force on the Philadelphi route in Rafah to stop weapons smuggling from Sinai to the Gaza Strip. Israel believes that such smuggling is strengthening Hamas in Gaza, and stopping it will be the key to improving security.

At present the General Staff objects to a large-scale groundforce operation in the Strip. Armored Corps and infantry forces are now deployed in two narrow stretches in the northern and eastern Gaza Strip.

The army also objects to suggestions by a number of ministers to hit the Strip's electric and water infrastructure.

Prime Minister Ehud Olmert is also opposed to a major ground operation in the Strip, which might last several weeks and could encounter serious Palestinian resistance.

Olmert is said to prefer putting pinpointed pressure on Hamas, which would bring about a cease-fire. However, cabinet members, like Minister for Strategic Affairs Avigdor Lieberman, support harsher military steps.

Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni hinted at the possibility of deploying an international force in her briefing to ambassadors Friday. In the briefing, called in response to events in Gaza and Sderot, Livni was asked by European Union Ambassador Ramiro Cibrian-Uzal whether Israel still objected to the idea of a UNIFIL-style foreign peacekeeping force in Gaza. Livni said in response that UNIFIL, the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon, was a test case, and that the force's many remaining challenges in Lebanon underscored the difficulties of such missions. She said that if the force she invisioned would have a wider mandate than UNIFIL's, with operational powers, that would be a different story.
Diplomats who attended the briefing noted that Livni seemed to be preparing the international community for a broader operation in Gaza than in the past, telling the assembled audience that Hamas was trying to worsen the situation, to draw Israel into an intra-Palestinian confrontation and to drag it back into the Gaza Strip.

Livni told the diplomats, "Israel wants peace in the Middle East and toward that end left Gaza and dismantled settlements. The international community comes to Israel with demands, but the time has come to show determination and put pressure on the extremists and terrorists. For too long the situation in the south has been taken for granted and considered as tolerable by the international community, but my message to you is - no more."

Livni held consultations with her ministry's senior staff Thursday ahead of today's cabinet meeting, at which two main directions were raised. The first is to get the United States and the EU to put pressure on Saudi Arabia, which had fostered the Mecca Agreement for a Palestinian unity government. Israel expects an international demand that the Saudi pressure on the Hamas leadership, especially the head of its political wing, Khaled Meshal, will bring about a cease-fire.

The second direction is to put pressure on Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas. Last year the EU accepted Abbas' position that the conflict with Hamas should not be solved by military means. However, Israel wants the EU to press Abbas to use his military forces against Hamas.

Tomorrow EU Foreign Policy Chief Javier Solana will arrive in Israel for an update on the situation and will meet with Olmert, Livni and Peretz, as well as with Abbas in Ramallah

Quiet again. Here are a few things going on behind the scenes:
Did you know the Bilderbergers are meeting right now in Turkey?
                        http://www.danielestulin.com/?op=not...=318&idioma=en
that the Quartet are meeting in Berlin?
                        http://www.cfr.org/publication/13491/
that Olmert will be visiting Bush in a couple of weeks:
                        http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7...407157,00.html

All of these are interesting articles. Not everything is factually correct (eg Frank McKenna is no longer Canadian ambassador to USA but maybe he still gets to attend the Bilderberger gathering anyway)

                        From the CFR article:
On traditional issues like the Middle East, I guess everything is so up in the air that not very much can be accomplished.
Since the ministers [this week] from the United States, the European Union, and Russia will be in Potsdam, they’ll take a train to Berlin to discuss the future of the so-called “Road Map” for negotiations between Israel and Palestinians. I doubt they’ll take any dramatic steps because they’ll be waiting for a meeting between Prime Minister [Ehud] Olmert and the Palestinian Authority leader, Mahmoud Abbas, in a week or so.

and Ynet outlines that the meeting between Olmert and Bush will likely be cordial (not!!):
Two weeks ago, Bush gave an empathetic nod toward the beleaguered Palestinian people, talking of the "deep humiliation" they face because of poverty and heavy restrictions imposed by Israel.

Folks I think we are getting VERY close to a big announcement that a Deal is in the cards for Israel (what is left of it after the PA sset up a state in the west bank and part of Jerusalem)

Did anyone notice that during the recent Yom Yerushalayim ceremonies commemorating the 40th anniversary of the unification of Jerusalem that the weather conditions were...deluge of rain!!! Now this is interesting because in late May the Jerusalem weather is always balmy.

Just maybe God is making a little statement. I think the prime Minister of Israel has already "sold out" along with his new President in running (Shimon Peres). We may be simply waiting for the announcement at an "appropriate time".

(IsraelNN.com) Palestinian Authority Chairman and Fatah leader Mahmoud Abbas announced Tuesday that he will ask Prime Minister Ehud Olmert to begin final status talks at their meeting, scheduled for Thursday.

The PA Chairman said he also plans to raise the issues of continued construction on Jewish communities and the security barrier in Judea and Samaria.

In addition, Mr. Abbas said he intends to demand the release of thousands of PA prisoners held in Israeli jails and the transfer of millions of dollars in taxes collected by Israel on behalf of the PA.

Ami Ayalon who is in the upcoming run-off is co-author of a"The People's Voice" aka "The National Census"...that would make a peace agreement with the Palestinian's that is not a roadmap type framework with steps that are taken to final resolution, but rather instant resolution of the "issue". I wonder if this plays into the mix at all due to the upcoming election and Olmert wanting to hold on?

                              http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_People%27s_Voice

The People's Voice (called in Hebrew המפקד הלאומי, literally The National Census) is an Israeli-Palestinian civil initiative dedicated to advancing the process of achieving peace between Israel and the Palestinians. Co-founders Ami Ayalon and Sari Nusseibeh signed the initiative on 27 July 2002, and officially launched it at a press conference held in Tel-Aviv on 25 June 2003. Broad outlines and some details of the initiative were known months in advance and had engendered responses from competing proposals.

The key proposals of the initiative are:

                              Two states for two peoples.
Borders based upon the June 4, 1967 lines.
Jerusalem will be an open city, the capital of two states.
Palestinian refugees will return only to the State of Palestine.
                              Palestine will be demilitarized.
Upon the full implementation of these principles, all claims on both sides and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict will end.

UN chief: End of Israeli occupation only way to advance peace

Ban Ki-moon says 40th anniversary of Six Day War reminder that ‘statehood for Palestinians, security for Israelis cannot be achieved by force’; ‘end to the occupation and a political solution is the only way forward,’ he adds

Associated Press Published: 06.05.07, 20:33 / Israel News

On the 40th anniversary of the outbreak of the 1967 Mideast War, UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on Tuesday remembered those who were killed and whose lives were shattered by the conflict, particularly Palestinians still living under occupation.

The anniversary serves as a reminder that “statehood for Palestinians, security for Israelis, and peace in the region cannot be achieved by force,” said a statement from Ban’s spokeswoman Michele Montas.

During the 1967 war, Israel defeated three Arab armies: It captured the Sinai Peninsula and Gaza Strip from Egypt, the Golan Heights
from Syria, and the West Bank and east Jerusalem from Jordan.

Egypt was the first Arab country to sign a peace agreement with Israel in 1979 and as part of the deal the Sinai was returned. Israeli troops and settlers unilaterally pulled out of the Gaza Strip in 2005, but the Israeli military still keeps a tight grip on Palestinian movement there - and the Golan, West Bank, and east Jerusalem remain under Israeli control.

”An end to the occupation and a political solution to the conflict is the only way forward for Israelis, Palestinians, Syrians, Lebanese and the wider region,” the statement said.

“This will only be achieved through negotiations to bring about an end to the occupation, on the basis of the principle of land for peace, as envisaged in Security Council resolutions.”

”The United Nations remains committed to bringing assistance to those who suffer, and to working tirelessly for a just, lasting and comprehensive peace in the region in accordance with international law and the resolutions of the Security Council,” Ban’s spokeswoman said.

The United Nations is part of the so-called quartet trying to revive the Middle East peace process which also includes Russia, the United States and the European Union.

What a wonderful day for the political Left in Israel to demonstrate in Hebron TO GIVE THE PLACE UP to the arabs. Somebody should have tipped the arabs off in advance..the story indicates the bus carrying the demonstartors got stoned on the way out of the area.
