I don't know of one, but I do know there are some in almost every part
of the world, maybe the Arctic and Antarctica are spared.

Tom, can you advise of a site that might help answer this question.

Home Front Command evacuates Kinneret beaches
      By JPOST STAFF AND AP

For the first time since the 1973 Yom Kippur War, the city of Tiberias, located some 35 kilometers south of the Lebanese border on the western bank of the Sea of Galilee, came under a rocket attack on Saturday. Tiberias is located outside the area that the IDF predicted would be hit by Katyushas.

Three of the six Katyusha rockets fired at the city by Hizbullah landed in residential areas, including two that hit apartment building. One landed near the Club Hotel resort, and one landed 15-20 meters away a gas station. Three people were wounded in the attack.

Sounds like the IDF is expecting this to grow instead of settling down.

Israel pounds south Beirut, killing 18

By SAM F. GHATTAS, Associated Press Writer
            56 minutes ago

Israeli warplanes pounded Hezbollah's south Beirut stronghold and struck roads around the country Saturday, killing at least 18 Lebanese fleeing the onslaught. Hezbollah rockets continued to pour into Israel, where officials warned citizens that Tel Aviv could be hit.

The deadly barrages came as Israel charged that Iran, the main sponsor of Hezbollah militants, has 100 troops in Lebanon providing Hezbollah key support — including helping fire a missile Friday that badly damaged an Israeli warship. Hezbollah denied it.

Neither side showed signs of backing down from the conflict, which erupted Wednesday when Hezbollah captured two Israeli soldiers in a cross-border raid. As civilian deaths mounted, diplomatic efforts to end the crisis had yet to get off the ground.

President Bush, on a trip to Russia, said it was up to Hezbollah "to lay down its arms and to stop attacking." Arab foreign ministers gathered in Cairo but fell into squabbling after moderate states, led by Saudi Arabia, denounced Hezbollah for starting the fight.

France decided to send a ferry from Cyprus to evacuate thousands of its citizens from Lebanon — the first nation to do so. The move signaled the West expects a drawn-out battle. The U.S. Embassy in Beirut said Saturday it was looking into ways to get Americans to Cyprus after Israeli strikes closed down the airport.

Police said a 106 people, mostly civilians, have been killed in Lebanon in the four-day Israeli offensive. On the Israeli side, at least 15 have been killed, four civilians and 11 soldiers.

I think with each missile that hits Israel, the odds are increasing that
they will have no choice but attack targets in Syria.

Certainly if Haifa gets struck with some of the bigger rockets - I would agree for certain that Israel would have to go to the next level themselves and to me that would be to strike Syrian targets directly

                      15 July 2006

TEHERAN - Iran has categorically rejected Israeli charges of being involved in the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, state news agency IRNA reported on Saturday.

“It is ironic that a regime that has inflicted massive atrocities on defenceless civilians in recent weeks now accuses Tehran of wrongdoing,” Iran’s representative to the United Nations Mohammad Javad Zarif wrote in a letter to UN Secretary General Kofi Annan and Security Council President Jean-Marc de La Sabliere.

Israel: Iran Aided Hezbollah Ship Attack
                        By MATT MOORE , 07.15.2006, 10:58 AM

A missile fired by Hezbollah, not an unmanned drone laden with explosives, damaged an Israeli warship off Lebanon, the army said Saturday. Elite Iranian troops helped fire the missile, a senior Israeli intelligence official said.

One sailor was killed and three were missing.

The intelligence official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because of the sensitive nature of the information, said about 100 Iranian soldiers are in Lebanon and helped fire the Iranian-made, radar-guided C-102 at the ship late Friday.

The official added that the troops involved in firing the missile are from the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, an elite corps of more than 200,000 fighters that is independent of the regular armed forces and controlled directly by supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Initial information indicated the guerrillas had used a drone for the first time to attack Israeli forces. But the army's investigation showed that Hezbollah had fired an Iranian-made missile at the vessel from the shores of Lebanon, said Brig. Gen. Ido Nehushtan.

"We can confirm that it was hit by an Iranian-made missile launched by Hezbollah. We see this as very profound fingerprint of Iranian involvement in Hezbollah," Nehushtan said in an interview with The Associated Press.

Hizballah Brings out Iranian Silkworm to Hit Israel Navy Corvette
                          15 JULY 2006 | www.Debka.com

The disaster that overtook one of the Israeli Navy’s state of the art warships, Ahi-Hanit, was thoroughly planned in advance by an enemy which managed to take Israel’s military commanders by surprise. It has shocked Israel’s military to a degree comparable to the profound effect on US forces of al Qaeda’s 2000 attack on the USS Cole in Aden.

The Saar-5 class corvette, with a crew of 61 seamen and a 10-man helicopter crew, was hit Friday, July 17 at 20:15 hours, while shelling Beirut international airport. Four crewmen were reported missing. One was found dead Saturday aboard the crippled ship. Three are still sought by rescue teams.

DEBKAfile’s military sources reveal that the warship was struck from Beirut by an Iran-made C-802 shore-to-sea missile of the Silkworm family. Weighing 715 kilos, with a range of 120km, the missile is armed with a strong anti-jamming capability, which lends it a 98% success rate in escaping interception.

The Israeli ship is armed with an advanced Barak anti-missile system, which may have missed the incoming missile. Israeli military planners must now look at the vulnerability of the navy following the appearance of the first Iranian C-802 missiles
