Re: Israel VS Hiz-Bullies Part II

I wonder if this will put the G8 summit on hold. It has escalated beyond what they thought it would. Has anyone giving any thought to that they might take out our president at this time? What better way to stall the US when we are in morning? What better way to engage our wrath to those who do this?

Iran declares support for Palestinian militants

      Thursday, July 13, 2006 -

LONDON, July 13 (IranMania) - Iran's top national security official Ali Larijani has met with Palestinian groups to voice the Islamic republic's "decisive support" for their battle against Israel, state media said Thursday.

A report by the official news agency IRNA said Larijani, during a flying visit to close ally Syria on Wednesday, declared "the Islamic republic's decisive support for the Palestinian and the Lebanese resistance against Israel."

The report said Larijani had met with "Palestinian movement leaders who are against the peace process", including Hamas, Islamic Jihad, and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine General Command (PFLP-GC).

Dear Lord! They really want to do this! All I can say is let them give it their best shot. God will take care of them.

The European Union is greatly concerned about the disproportionate use of force by Israel in Lebanon in response to attacks by Hezbollah on Israel," according to a statement issued by Finland, which holds the EU's rotating presidency. "The presidency deplores the loss of civilian lives and the destruction of civilian infrastructure. The imposition of an air and sea blockade on Lebanon cannot be justified."

France's foreign minister, meanwhile, condemned Israel's attacks as "a disproportionate act of war." Foreign Minister Philippe Douste-Blazy also told France's Europe-1 radio that France was calling for "the unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Lebanon to be preserved."

He said France would support the Lebanese request that the U.N. Security Council take up the issue as soon as possible.

Well Good Morning! And quite the day we are waking up to, is it not?! I just saw an ex Ambassador (sorry didn't catch the name but NOT Mark Ginsberg) and he was saying that Israel has had captives taken into Iran before, and it could be years if ever that Israel would see them again if they make it out of Lebanon with them. He too, said that Hezbollah is a branch off from the Iranian "army" and that both Iran and Syria...via Damascus...are who is supporting them and Hamas, but "not sure they are calling the shots". Insane that the news doesn't pick up, or people around me even, the importance of what is taking place! Are you guys finding the same reaction from friends and family?

What I see here is a clash of ideologies. Israel finally is meeting terrorism of its citizens with war/aggression which is what bully-violence shuld be met with (and prayer) . Its the only thing bullies understand. They back down in the face of superior fire power.

France the EN, UN etc want to continue to meet aggression with appeasment and baskets of chocolates and flowers, which means to the bully that he has the upper hand. Wow , did they learn nothing from history esp. wwII ---appeasement ALWAYS ends up in bigger badder wars. It gives bullies valuable time to organize and grow weapons.

All it takes for evil to prolliferate is for righteous men to do nothing.

I was just reading the other thread before it was closed and this opened...Tenken posted some statements the President made and am I relieved to see is speaking out and backing Israel. Keep him in prayer, that he continue to do so, and also that he returns to the US safely and soon as the last time he was in Russia is when that man through the granade into the crowd, remember, but it didn't go off. He needs God's hand of protection on him and for God to give him wisdom.

Regarding Israel bombing the road to Damascus This is moving quickly!

Breaking: Captured Soldiers Heading for Iran?
                    By Julie Stahl
                    CNSNews.com Jerusalem Bureau Chief
                    July 13, 2006

(CNSNews.com) - Israel says it has learned that the Lebanese-based Hizballah intends to transfer the two Israeli soldiers it abducted on Wednesday to Iran. That word came today from a senior official in Israel's Foreign Ministry.

Israel is now linking Iran, Syria, Hizballah and Hamas all together in what it calls an "axis of terror and hate" that threatens the entire world.

.....Initially, Israel said it was holding Lebanon responsible for the Hizballah attack that opened a new front in the war on Wednesday. Hizballah fired rockets at Israel, killed eight Israeli soldiers in cross-border attacks, and abducted two other soldiers.

Now Israeli officials are saying that Lebanon is not the only responsible party - Syria and Iran are also involved. (President Bush on Thursday said his main concern is the "fragile democracy" in Lebanon, which the U.S. has done so much to encourage, and he urged Israel to use restraint.)

Iran is so involved that Hizballah is planning to transfer the two Israeli captives to that nation, Foreign Ministry Deputy Director-General for Public Affairs Gideon Meir said on Thursday.

"We also have specific information that Hizballah is planning to transfer the kidnapped soldiers to Iran," Meir told journalists in Jerusalem. More to come...

I see the lines are being drawn in the sand? Pakistan...Mushariff must be walking on his own eggshells right now after the India bombing and now this, the Islamic terrorists have tried and failed to assassinate him 3 times that I am aware of. The have the disputed land of Kashmir in question between them, India and the "radicals". He is hiding Khan, I am sure due to pressure on him and he is trying to keep his own country from teeterin over.

FoxNews breaking about the "Thunder 1" rockets hitting Israel now and the threat to Haifa. I am so thankful for this board, and the internet, if we didn't have it, we'd be 2-3 weeks behind in our special prayers we've prayed for Israel. Thouhgh we all pray for them daily, these "special" prayers are much needed.

Re: Israel VS Hiz-Bullies Part II

"We have concrete evidence that Hezbollah plans to transfer the kidnapped soldiers to Iran. As a result, Israel views Hamas, Hezbollah, Syria and Iran as the main players in the axis of terror and hate that endangers not only Israel, but the entire world," AFP quoted Deputy Director General of the Foreign Ministry Gideon Meir as saying.

An Al-Jazeera correspondent said Thursday that he had evidence that the two soldiers - identified Thursday as Ehud Goldwasser, 31, of Nahariya, and Eldad Regev, 26, of Kiryat Motzkin - were alive during the abduction. He said they were transferred to a Shi'ite mosque in a nearby town, where the abductors changed clothes. According to the report, one of the soldiers was transferred in a cab, to make it difficult for Israeli intelligence to locate him. The Al-Jazeera correspondent stressed that he had received the information from a source close to Hezbollah, and that members of the organization refuse to disclose more information with nothing in return.

During the Iraq war I waited to see if AlJazeera would be taken out, I'll bet many in gov't would love to, but wonder if the source of "news" is worth it "for now".

This could be the trigger for an attack on Syria.
