Re: Israel VS Hiz-Bullies Part II

I am prould of canada for supportting Israel too. Our lame other govt would not have. I am praying for our continued support and blessing and wisdom for our leaders. I have sent letters today and even given them this website to keep informed---many in our govt at this time are committed Christians---the real thing.

Hezbollah official Ghaleb Abu Zaineb reiterated Friday the militant group's commitment to attacking Haifa if Israel attacks Beirut.

EU fears Israel's offensive in Lebanon may draw Syria into the fighting

The European Union said Friday it is concerned Israel's offensive in Lebanon may spread, drawing Syria into the fighting.

"We consider the situation to be very bad and there is the continuing possibility that it could worsen; that the conflict could expand, especially to Syria," said Foreign Minister Erkki Tuomioja of Finland, whose country now holds the EU presidency.

"This is in no way desirable, and the consequences could be truly uncontrollable," he told reporters. (AP)

                  Mornin' ya'll!!!

The fact that Hezbollah is controlled by Syria and Iran and that Israel said it is going to basically dismantle Syria. That's one possibility anyway.

That sums it up well -

Iran is the puppet master in this case and if and when they choose to ratchet up the battle against Israel, Syria could and would be pressed by Iran to unlease a salvo of scud missiles into Israeli cities.

Likewise if, as it appears, that Israel decides to stage a massive invasion into Lebanon using tank divisions to go after Hezbollah on the ground, I would expect to see Syria move their own military forces south into Lebanon as a check-mate.

Keep in mind that Syria fully occupied and controlled Lebanon for the last 20+ years (and only very recently were forced to withdraw militarily)

Severe pressure by the US (next door in Iraq) - also pressure by the French, and some serious threats by the UN that for once had some teeth...

.....of course it is known that Syria left behind a good bit of hidden arms and a fair number of operatives / military in civilian clothes - likewise over the 20+ years of control and occupation, Syria saw to it that 10s of thousands of Syrian nationals were relocated into Lebanon as permanent guests / settlers...

New Threats on Friday by: Ahmadinejad: Israel would not dare to move against Iran

By Haaretz Service and News Agencies

TEHRAN - Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Friday that Israel, which has struck at Lebanon in its search for two soldiers abducted by Hezbollah earlier this week, would not dare to move against the Islamic republic, state television reported.

Iran has denied Israeli suggestions that Hezbollah guerrillas could take the captured soldiers to Iran.

Althogh, people are worried that the next conflict can be drawn into Syria,
what a better way for President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to force Israel into war with his country as well, by welcoming the kidnapped soldiers on his soil.

I am assuming that Iran has already sent in a special ops to make sure the escort will be done successfully, despite his denial that the soldiers are in Iran.
