  • Re: Hezbollah kidnapped 2 IDF soldiers in clashes on Lebanon border (MERGED)

Here is a post I made back in April. The US had the PM from Lebanon here in our country speaking and I was flabergasted. I tried to take notes as he spoke and then posted them on another board. Here they are:

    This In The Us?!!!

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I cannot they are letting this guy spew his **** in the US! He is speaking from the Woodrow Wilson Center...I had no idea how radical this new PM was!!! "President Bush invited me to speak"

Here is what he said...this is not quoted but just trying to give you an overview:

The "occupiers", the Israeli's must leave Lebanon territories which you call the Golan Heights. Our people have been forced from their country. We have met with Syria to get their help in redrawing the lines. Israel has continually attacked us, in 1993, 1997, 2000 and as recently as yesterday and have killed over 100 Lebanese. We intend to do our utmost to help liberate those in refugee camps and are in discussions with the Palestinian leadership to help them and to provide aid for the refugees until a "final solution" is achieved.

The recent withdrawals by Israel from "occupied territories" last year is not enough and Israel must move back to the 1967 borders and we must reach an Arab peace pack. Though there are cried to disarm Hizzballah, Hizzballah has been successful in helping defend Lebanon and we must think of how to best defend Lebanon due to the continued occupation by Israel and their continued invasion and attacks on our people.

The US has been helpful in relieving our debt problem and helping to improve our economic program in Lebanon. We want to achieve growth, job creation and economic stability and progress for our people.

We expect the US to meet at (some conference) as no country is an island in these days and what happens here, will effect the entire world.

If we can achieve peace and economic stability through dialog, and have security, raise our standard of living...then we will be an example for the world and for democracy. Our region is in turmoil, as Lebanese and as part of the Arab and Muslim world and must work against extermination and we must achieve balance and promote the religion of the region. Our people are desperate and the world is rapidly changing...there are two ways to become homeless. Two ways to lose your home...One you lose your home and the other is when your home starts to look like everyone elses. We must take into account our social and culture identity and we cannot be what we are not. That said, it is important not to resist some reforms just because it is thought to be a conspiriacy or someone else's recipe. "

Hizzballah is the Lebanese party and a representative of our government!"

The international community and the US particularly has a responsibility to make progress and stop the idea that Arabs and Muslims are violent and not peaceful people, this is a great injustice to the Palestinain people and has spanned 6 decades against muslims and arabs and has humiliated the Arab people and has created a violent eliment, but Israel has continued to refuse peace agreements and if the US would use their strong influence, there can be peace with the region and would promote democracy.

"My friends...Lebanon has been considere a bridge between east and west, but I like to think of it as beaken for democracy and a victor over oppression. A lot is at stake and we are staying the course and determined to move ahead, we trust you to do the same."

    Asked about Hizzballah...he said:

Hizzballah is our best defense for Lebanon for now. It is not really a large army but it is the best defense system we have. This and help from our Arab friends are our best support and defense we have right now.

Once Lebanon gets the Golan Heights back we will then have full security for our country. The Israeli occupiers must leave the area. We will take help by any country that will help us, Arab or otherwise. This is not a dream, it is possible and we HAVE to have it.

    OY!!!!

FROM A CHRISTIAN LIVING IN ISRAEL...TODAY:
          7-12-06

War raging on two fronts and having to look over our shoulder towards Iran with all their nukes and missiles might bring about a case of nervous anxiety here in Israel, not to mention Egypt sitting on our southern border ready to unleash the mighty weapons of F-15’s, F-16’s and Big Guns with a Navy second to none in this part of the Mediterranean, all supplied to them by the good old USA.

We now have three IDF soldiers being held captive, one by Hamas and two by Hizbullah. My daily prayer is for the safety of these three young men and to comfort their families who must be suffering, that the IDF will find its soul that it lost during the Gaza Disengagement while ripping over 9,000 Jews from their homes, for without it they will never be the fighting force they have been known to be. Those of us who have served in the IDF find it hard to understand how the IDF could have went for the trap set by Hizbullah. They shelled several Kibbutzim and Moshavim with Katyushas, causing the main body of the IDF on the northern border to all run to those locations. In the mean time leaving these two IDF soldiers at the mercy of the Hizbullah team who had managed to infiltrate our border and lay in wait for them. Making us wonder about the present leadership of the IDF in that region.

To add insult to injury once again like the first kidnapping in Gaza that should have been prevented the IDF didn’t react for over an hour, giving the kidnappers plenty of time to get the soldiers on a helicopter and fly them into Syria or hide them in Beirut. It seems that the IDF we once admired so highly is losing their ability from the High Command to the Foot Soldier. And in the meantime the new Prime Minister is going to order the IDF soldiers here to force over 100,000+ Jews from their homes in Judea and Samaria. So the big question, is the training we are now giving our IDF soldiers up to par?

I heard Olmert give a speech yesterday and in it he described Samaria and Judea as the West Bank, and when he spoke of the Jewish State of Israel, his description was the Israeli State. It would seem that the influence of Ariel Sharon on this man has prepared him for the final destruction of the Jewish State of Israel, and it is my observation that many are beginning to wake up to his plan, but the question is, is it in time to save Israel?

IDF Tanks and armored vehicles have now entered Lebanon territory, the latest report is 7 IDF soldiers 11 wounded, 3 critically, and the shelling of northern Galilee has wounded 11 civilians. Olmert has made the statement that what Hizbullah did is an act of war by the Lebanese Government against Israel.

There will never be a better time to take out the 13,000 Iranian supplied missiles Hizbullah has amassed along our northern border. There is no doubt that they have the capability to hit Haifa and Tiberius and all the small towns of the northern Galilee region, and many residence in that area spent many hours since early this morning in bomb shelters. It is also believed that many of their warheads are chemically armed. Lebanon has refused to remove Hizbullah from its southern border with Israel and now they’re concerned that they will once again feel the full force of the IDF like they did in 1982. I just saw on Israeli TV that the Lebanese were dancing in the streets and passing out candy over the kidnapping of the 2 IDF soldiers. There are conflicting reports, some say that both soldiers are in a safe place another reports say one is dead, but the real truth will not be known for days possibly much longer.

Many believe that Syria will take this opportunity to join in the fight for fear Israel will also come after Damascus and the many Hamas Hizbullah Leaders being allowed to operate freely there. So the next few hours promise to be very interesting if not a little more exciting them we care to experience.
One thing we can be certain of, things will get much worse around here before they ever get any better. There is nothing other than pure fear that will stop these Islamic murdering monsters.

IAF jets bomb Al-Manar TV station
            By YAAKOV KATZ

IAF jets attacked Hizbullah's Al-Manar television station in Beirut on Thursday morning.

There were no immediate reports of casualties. Broadcasts were apparently continuing from the station.

The attack was part of a military campaign which the IDF vowed would be harsh and quick against the Lebanese government and Hizbullah, which killed eight IDF soldiers and kidnapped two others along the northern border on Wednesday.

                http://www.cnn.com/2006/WORLD/meast/...ast/index.html

Israeli fighter jets bombed Beirut International Airport Thursday, expanding Israel's military campaign against Lebanon's Hezbollah guerrillas holding two Israeli soldiers captive.

All three of the airport's runways were rendered unusable in the airstrikes and a as a result the airport was closed, a senior Lebanese aviation official said.

Israel Defense Forces said it targeted the airport's runways because the airport served as a central hub for the transfer for weapons and supplies to Hezbollah.

Israeli airstrikes also targeted Hezbollah's al-Manar television station in Beirut's southern suburbs, a Lebanese security source said. Despite the strike, al-Manar continued to broadcast, the source said...

                    Air Force Targeting the Baalbek Region 10:02 Jul 13, '06 / 17 Tammuz 5766
                    http://www.israelnationalnews.com/news.php3?id=107166

(IsraelNN.com) The air force is targeting terrorists in the Baalbek region of the Lebanon Valley, Israel Channel 2 TV’s senior analyst Ehud Ya’ari reports.

Ya’ari added that it appears a strike against the infamous Hizbullah neighborhood in Lebanon is imminent, the area that is home to senior Hizbullah leaders and their families, as well as many of the organization’s offices.
Interesting NAME of region w/BAAL in it - the false god. Many areas were named w/Baal in it.

                    Numbers 25 Moab Seduces Israel
1 While Israel was staying in ****tim, the men began to indulge in sexual immorality with Moabite women, 2 who invited them to the sacrifices to their gods. The people ate and bowed down before these gods. 3 So Israel joined in worshiping the Baal of Peor. And the LORD's anger burned against them. 4 The LORD said to Moses, "Take all the leaders of these people, kill them and expose them in broad daylight before the LORD, so that the LORD's fierce anger may turn away from Israel."

5 So Moses said to Israel's judges, "Each of you must put to death those of your men who have joined in worshiping the Baal of Peor."

Deuteronomy 4 Obedience Commanded 1 Hear now, O Israel, the decrees and laws I am about to teach you. Follow them so that you may live and may go in and take possession of the land that the LORD, the God of your fathers, is giving you. 2 Do not add to what I command you and do not subtract from it, but keep the commands of the LORD your God that I give you. 3 You saw with your own eyes what the LORD did at Baal Peor. The LORD your God destroyed from among you everyone who followed the Baal of Peor, 4 but all of you who held fast to the LORD your God are still alive today.

5 See, I have taught you decrees and laws as the LORD my God commanded me, so that you may follow them in the land you are entering to take possession of it. 6 Observe them carefully, for this will show your wisdom and understanding to the nations, who will hear about all these decrees and say, "Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people." 7 What other nation is so great as to have their gods near them the way the LORD our God is near us whenever we pray to him? 8 And what other nation is so great as to have such righteous decrees and laws as this body of laws I am setting before you today?

Syrian press praises Hezbollah, says Israel 'not learnt lessons of past'

                      By DPA

Syria's official newspapers on Thursday praised the Lebanese Hezbollah miliant group for the kidnapping of two IDF soldiers on Wednesday.

The government-run al-Thawra newspaper said in an editorial that Hezbollah's action was "a new affront to the military Israeli arrogance, and a message that the arms arsenal would not protect Israel."

"No one could deny the (Lebanese) resistance's right to get back its militants from Israeli jails," al-Thawra said.

The newspaper said the "culture of resistance is liable to spread because it has proven its merit."

                          Israeli warplanes attack Beirut airport

By SAM F. GHATTAS, Associated Press Writer
                          1 hour, 30 minutes ago

Israel intensified its attacks against Lebanon on Thursday, blasting Beirut's international airport and the southern part of the country in its heaviest air campaign against its neighbor in 24 years. More than two dozen civilians were killed, officials said.

The strikes on the airport, which damaged three runways, came hours before Israel said it was imposing an air and naval blockade on Lebanon to cut off supply routes to Lebanese militants.

The airport, located in the Hezbollah-controlled southern suburbs of Beirut, was closed after the attacks and flights were diverted to nearby Cyprus. It was the first time since Israel's 1982 invasion of Lebanon and occupation of Beirut that the airport was hit by Israel.

Israel also fired a missile at the building housing the studios of Hezbollah's Al-Manar TV in the southern suburbs of Beirut on Thursday morning, the channel's press officer Ibrahim Farhat told The Associated Press. One person was hurt, but the station continued to broadcast.

Overnight Israeli attacks in southern Lebanon, meanwhile, killed 26 civilians and wounded dozens more, Lebanese security officials said. A family of 10 and another family of seven were killed in their homes in the village of Dweir near Nabatiyeh, the officials said, speaking on condition of anonymity as they were not authorized to speak to the press.

Later Thursday, Lebanese guerrillas fired volleys of rockets at northern Israel, killing an Israeli woman in her home in the border town of Nahariya, officials said. Five people were wounded.
