    Re: Serious Escalation By Hamas

It had to be a "lucky" shot as those things are terribly unguided. Best guess, like, but not as accurate, as mortar fire.

I think they will find the IDF's weapons a bit more accurate and effective.

And just maybe Bush and Sharon knew this would happen after the Jews left Gaza and merely "baited the hook" so that the Jews could kill off their enemies !!!

PM Olmert vows far-reaching ramifications for Hamas
By YAAKOV KATZ, HERB KEINON AND JPOST.COM STAFF

Despite an IDF incursion into northern Gaza, a Kassam rocket landed Tuesday night for the first time in the heart of Ashkelon, sending the city's 120,000 residents into a state of fear that their city would be bombarded by rockets like Sderot has since the disengagement last summer.

Prime Minister Ehud Olmert termed the Kassam attack a "grave escalation" for which Hamas is responsible and for which there will be far-reaching ramifications.
Olmert's comments came at the annual July 4th celebration held at the residency of the US ambassador to Israel in Herzliya Pituach.

"Tonight a grave escalation took place when a Kassam landed in a school in our southern town. This is a peerless and grave escalation in the terrorist war for which Hamas, which is in control of the Palestinian government, is responsible," Olmert said.

He said there will be significant ramifications for this "criminal attempt" to strike at Israeli citizens. He said Hamas would be the first to be hit.

Peretz: The IDF will Increase the Pace
              22:38 Jul 04, '06 / 8 Tammuz 5766

(IsraelNN.com) Defense Minister Amir Peretz said Tuesday that he has instructed the IDF to increase the pace and force of military operations in the Gaza Strip.

The continuing military operation in Gaza, code-named “Summer Rains”, has two objectives. The first is the return of kidnapped Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit and the second is the removal of the Kassam rocket threat.

“We intend on achieving the goals that we have set for ourselves for the current operation,” said Peretz.

I tried to merge Gail's "Serious Escallation by Hamas" and merged it into the old thread instead of this one.

Saudi Arabia. The enablers of terror around the world and the home and fountain of the moon gawd cult. I submit, if bin Laden is alive and anywhere, he's in the basement of Mecca built by his daddy, inside this country.

(IsraelNN.com) In light of the Kassam rocket attack against Ashkelon, MK Yuval Steinitz (Likud) has called for a comprehensive attack against the terrorist infrastructure in Gaza similar in scope to Operation Defensive Shield which was successful in limiting the suicide bombing attacks emanating from the Arab city of Jenin in 2002.

“If the government again refrains from acting decisively in the defense of Israel’s residents in should ‘put down the keys’ and go to new elections,” said Steinitz.

I happen to be sitting at work on this fourth of July, and believe it or not I work in the Labor and Delivery department at my local hospital. I know all about contractions and I would venture to say about the time the contractions start to be very painfull the woman is asking for something for pain. You are correct in that we see alot of contractions going on from all around us. And they are getting longer and more painful and I believe that it won't be long before the world is asking for something to ease the pain. Maybe in the form of a man who will claim he has the way to peace and the world will be in so much pain they will gladly receive him But now we have Israel and Gaza, Iran defying and getting on with the plan for world dominance. North Korea playing war and the whole world watching and holding their breath. But the thing that really catches my attention is the frequency because at work when we have a patient who comes in huffing and puffing we know that we are going to be delivering a baby and very soon. Ring any bells?

Army source: Hamas' gloves are off

...comprehensive ground operation waiting for cabinet's approval

Diplomatic sources in Jerusalem told Ynet that very harsh response is expected following the (latest Qassam rocket) incident.

Defense Minister Air Peretz ordered the Israel Defense Forces to increase the pace and intensity of military operations following Operation Summer Rain in Gaza, and said that the operation had two goals: To return kidnapped soldier Gilad Shalit and the removal of the Qassam threat.

Zeev Schiff, veteran military analyst for the respected Israeli Haaretz daily, wrote that the rocket attack was “an unequivocal Hamas invitation to war.”
