Yep, less talk, just simply destroy it. It will send the most convincing message to Hamas (as if they will listen of course, which they will not, but it will slow them down).

I don't think I would want to be near the factory right now, I would not
be suprised to learn shortly that the IDF have taken care of it.

Yeah I understand. Dispatch the IAF to destroy the factory, storage and launch sites. Should be completed in less than two hours including planning and recon.

Perhaps. You may be right on target. I urge him to show restraint! (just kidding).

Actually there's a condition with warfare, or a couple conditions that 1) everything might seem worse than it actually is and 2) it's possible to become slightly "drunk" with military power (or any "power" for that matter).

After the hundreds of Qassam and Qassam-2 rockets fired, some of which have killed people, there's no need to get crazy over one. Simply send in a couple F-16's and destroy the factory that made then and the sites where they are stored.

There are far worse things to happen to reserve total war for.

It's the FARTHER DISTANCE they've now reached, into a very populated city now for the 1st time. It's the distance factor that was shown to Israel as a newer threat in action. And TODAY after the ultimatum ended.

Despite ongoing IDF operations in the northern Gaza Strip, a Kassam rocket landed Tuesday evening in Ashkelon proper - the first time the city center has witnessed such an attack.

Being the major "dove" that he is - all the pressure of the last several days seems to be taking a major toll on his thinking?

Check the wording out here, too:

    http://www.jpost.com/servlet/Satelli...cle%2FShowFull

In a speech at the home of US Ambassador to Israel Richard Jones, marking the American Fourth of July holiday, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert called the attack, "an escalation of hostilities like none other."

He said that Israel would not remain silent, and that Hamas would be the first to feel the Israeli response, vowing "far-reaching consequences," for the missile attack.

Qassams aren't much of a threat, in reality. Unless they do find the guts (and they probably will) to put a binary chemical shell on them. It's just a terrorism weapon, though it can kill in small numbers.

Yes Gaza has become the terrorism-haven we feared though. Same with any land surrounding Israel or that they give up.

Wish they would've NEVER even given a thought to hand over their Israeli land. ugh. Here's the result, CLOSER RANGE for their enemies.

Most of the trouble in the world is initiated by members of this cult. They should have tried Nintendo or X-Box.

Despite ongoing IDF operations in the northern Gaza Strip, a Kassam rocket landed Tuesday evening in Ashkelon proper - the first time the city center has witnessed such an attack.

No one was wounded in the attack, despite the fact that the rocket hit a school in a populated area in the south of the city. Children playing soccer outside the ORT-Ronson High School on Rehov Ben Zvi were thrown back by the force of the explosion, witnesses reported, but were unharmed. The school suffered some damage.

Security officials described the Kassam as "upgraded," featuring two engines. Police Cmdr. Uri Barlev said that security forces had seen this type of rocket in the past. "This type of missile has landed in other places," he said.

Hamas' military wing, Izzadin al-Kassam, claimed responsibility for the attack, adding that the rocket had been upgraded to achieve a range of over 15 kilometers. Security officials reported that the rocket was launched from the open territory between the former northern Gaza settlements of Nisanit and Dugit.
