MK Eldad Calls for Civil Disobedience

The "Save the Land and Nation" rabbis' organization held an emergency session Tuesday night in Tel Aviv to discuss the upcoming visit of U.S. President George W. Bush in Israel.

MK Aryeh Eldad (National Union) called for civil disobedience, following Prime Minister Ehud Olmert's declaration that no construction be carried out in eastern Jerusalem, Judea or Samaria without his approval. He said citizens should build freely throughout the Land of Israel.

“Two days ago," Eldad told the audience, "Olmert sent a letter to the Ministers of Defense, Housing and Agriculture determining that no one can build a house, expand a community or apartment, or even plan expansions [in eastern Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria] without his permission! Prime Minister Olmert is doing something that wasn’t even done in the time of the British Mandate! Olmert wants a family with eight kids living in an apartment to ask him permission to expand a balcony – and he will say no!"

"My precious Jews," Eldad said, "thanks to Olmert we now have an opportunity to practice civil disobedience – we WILL build – we will build everywhere – rooms, apartments, houses, synagogues, Yeshivas, and schools! We will build everywhere… He thinks he’ll apprehend several criminals? 250,000 Jews will declare: We are criminals – our crime is the building of the land of Israel! We’ll see what he’ll do with 250,000 criminals!”

“These days we hear that a ministerial committee is gathering to redefine the term 'blood on their hands'," Eldad continued, "And I say – there is blood on the hands of Olmert and members of his government, the blood of these precious soldiers are on the hands of those who released terrorists, gave them weapons and armored vehicles as goodwill gestures!”

Government that Cooperates with the Enemy
Rabbi Shalom Dov Wolpe, Head of “Save the Land and the Nation,” said: “This gathering is intended to make it clear to the public that we are facing a serious danger due to the government’s actions. We have a government that cooperates with the enemy, the Palestinian enemy that wants to destroy Israel. The government of Israel is supplying them with money and weapons, releasing murderers… We came to warn and discuss how we can prevent this, G-d forbid, holocaust that the government is bringing on us.”

Rabbi Wolpe added: “Bush is a non-Jew who is pressuring Israel to do what he would never do in America… In America he is fighting against terrorists!," Wolpe added. “Today we are recruiting volunteers who will distribute a personal commitment form for soldiers in which the commit to serve the nation on our land but never, G-d forbid, to take part in any action against their brothers – any action of expulsion from the land of Israel.”


Rabbi Dov Lior, Rabbi of Kiryat Arba, said: “I want to tell this holy crowd that we have returned to our land and we must strengthen our love of the land, act against the uprooting of any community, against the uprooting of any hilltop community… The nation of Israel is returning to its land according to G-d’s commandment, and based on its historical national right – there is no room for any other national entity in this land!”

This being the 60th Anniversary of the founding of the Nation is a unique year, and we are watching the build-up to the Gog - MaGog incident, with the corresponding Hand-of-God coming down hard! We may see this very thing unfold before our eyes as spelled out in Ezekiel 38/39... are we on the cusp of a major fulfillment of prophecy in our time? Only time will tell!

What then should we be doing? How does one prepare for such an eventuality? What is the prudent thing to do?

Time is marching on and now, would you believe, Israel and the USA are talking about an International Force required in Sameria and Judeah [The West Bank] as an interim Force to keep peace while the new Country of Palestine gets it's institutions into place...

The US is preparing a plan to station third party troops in the West Bank to secure the area after an Israeli withdrawal and before the Palestinian Authority can take over full security control, The Jerusalem Post has learned. The issue of how to deal with the period between when Israel leaves large swaths of the West Bank and the PA is able to take over control is likely to be discussed during talks President George W. Bush will hold in Jerusalem and in the PA on Wednesday [Today] and Thursday. US Special Envoy for Middle East Security James Jones has been assigned the task of preparing a plan on this issue within six months. A number of options are being considered, including the involvement of NATO troops or Jordanian and Egyptian forces. Jones, a former Marine Corps general, was NATO's top military commander from 2003 to 2005. He visited here on December 18, and discussed the concept with his Israeli interlocutors. US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, who appointed Jones immediately after November's Annapolis Conference, hinted at this role in a briefing she gave reporters on her way to the PA donors' conference in Paris in mid-December. Rice said at the time that the establishment of a Palestinian state "will raise questions about a security vacuum when Israelis leave the West Bank. And this is not an issue just for the Palestinians. It's an issue for the states in the area as well, like Jordan and Egypt." Therefore, she said, there needed to be a "hard look" from a military expert on what the possible vacuums could "look like when you create a Palestinian state," and on how to deal with them.

Lay it to Heart: I believe that "peacekeepers" will be a truly international force. They will fill a void left by departing IDF military and probably end up being the force to remove settlers (about 65,000 if you don't count the big settlement blocs which will likely be part of the deal with Abbas). I'm not sure how long all of this will take to put in place. The international community seems to be pushing for a peace deal before President Bush leaves office in January 2009. With only one year to go it might be possible to get a deal signed. Implimentation however will take a good deal of planning and coordination. Perhaps all of this planning is currently underway. Look for almost no details to be available in the press, followed by very quick timeline to implement. The whole thing might still happen before the end of 2008. If he can pull this off, George Bush's legacy is secure...peace in the Middle East OR the biggest boondoggle in history when the whole thing blows up, literally. Take your pick! Such a mess would push the sub-prime mortgage news off page one, or might work hand in glove to bring the whole system down. Exciting times!

Hello folks! Thought we should carry on a bit longer discussion about the Megillat Bush which the Sanhedrin in Israel recently provided to President Bush (see post above for the link to the actual wording). Contained in the salutation is the following:

Esteemed Mr. George W. Bush, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal (Ezekiel 38:1), leader of the west!

This document was signed by the elected President (nasi) of the Sanhedrin. Interesting that nasi is the same Hebrew word used in Ezekiel 38 translated "prince". Rabbi A Even Steinzaltz is considered by an article in Time magazine to be "scholar of a millennium" so we should not dismiss his insights too quickly. Do a google search on this man and find out what he has accomplished to date. In the megillat (scroll) Steinzaltz indicates that George Bush still has the choice to follow the path of Cyrus who was head of the superpower that conquered Babylonia and encouraged the Jews to return to the Land around 538 BC. OR he can choose a different course and bring down the wrath of God on himself and his nation.

Recently I have done a little Hebrew study on the words Meshech and Tubal. As most of you already know in ancient Hebrew writings there are no vowels, just consonants. So the reader had to know what the context of the passage was in order to read the words correctly. Our words above become as follows: (M)(Sh)(Ch) and (T)(B)(L)...the Sh is the Hebrew letter Shin etc. Now the words expressed as only consonants can have a variety of meanings. They can refer to people by that name, to people groupings, to a specific location like a city or region, or to a separate concept all together. Let us consider the two words above.

M-Sh-Ch is normally considered to be a location. (For example, various prophecy students have linked this word with Moscow) Meshech (Strong #4902) was a son of Japheth. In Hebrew meshech (Strong #4901) also means "precious possessions" while mashach (Strong #4900) means to draw out or draw along" If we consult Goodrick and Kohlenberger we have similar meanings: (GK#5433 meshech means price/seed to sow) while #5432 mashach means "drag along, lead the way, pull") Now students of Ezekiel 38 will immediately recognize the potential irony of a concept of dragging along/pulling in light of the pruning fork hooked into the jaw by God to get Gog onto the mountains of Israel.

T-B-L is normally also considered to be a man (eg Strong #8422), people or location (Popular writers morph this into Tobolsk a city in Russia. However Tebel (Strong #8397) means unnatural mixture eg beastiality/perversion as outlined as a prohibition in Leviticus 18:23 and 20:12 where the exact word is used to condemn such activity. See also GK #9316 and #9317 for similar meanings. Also Strong #8398 indicates that TBL means earth/globe/inhabitants.

So did the prophet mean to refer to MShCh and TBL as Meshech, or meshech, or mashach in addition to Tubal, tebel etc? WE SIMPLY DO NOT KNOW!!!!
Realize that the exact same passage in Ezekiel can be translated accurately as follows: a)Chief leader of the inhabitants of the world (ie superpower), b) chief leader of possessions and perversions, as well as c) places called Meshech and Tubal. I believe it is more in the context of option a) that the Sanhedrin is leaning, addressing President Bush as the elected leader (nasi) of the superpower of the world, dealing with Jerusalem and the Promised Land.
The writers of the scroll immediately call him to make a choice, follow the lead of superpower leader Cyrus (name means servant in Hebrew) who served God and restored the Jews to Israel OR follow the story of Gog. Interesting that the Skull and Bones inductees always are assigned names upon entry into this occult brotherhood. Do a google search and learn that names are all pagan in reality: Big Devil, Little Devil, Boaz short for Baalzebub, MaGog (yes folks, this was the name assigned to George Bush senior when he joined!) and Gog. Other names are Thor, Odin from Norse pagan religions.

Read Isaiah 45 and reflect on what God says about Cyrus. He is called by name after he conquered Babylonia, led by the hand by God like a small child (45:1) and honors God (45:4) with the result that "men may know there is none beside Me (God speaking)" in 45:6. Now go and read the parallel passage about Gog in Ezekiel. Dragged by a hook in the jaw (38:4), receives judgment instead of blessing (38:11) to the same end as Cyrus "that the nations may know Me" (39:16).

I now believe both Cyrus and George have MAJOR impact on the future of the Jews. Cyrus blessed them and in turn was blessed. Only 42,000 Jews returned from Babylon to the Land however. In Gog's case we are about to see the forceful removal of a similar number of Jews from the settlements in Judea and Samaria to implement a dastardly designed "peace" deal for a Palestinian state. No wonder the Sanhedrin is telling George he stands in the same place Cyrus stood. Will he make a choice which may lead to destruction, both from natural disaster and perhaps economic collapse (see all the posts about dollar and stock futures etc)?

Only two individuals are mentioned in ancient prophecy by actual name: Cyrus and Gog!! What a study in contrasts. Jesus told a story of two sons, one who actually did the will of the father and the other who professed to do same but then went and did the opposite. The exact same thing may happen here!

I wonder how many readers of WEDG are concerned that the present course of action regarding creation of an arab state in the west bank region along with the removal of the Jewish settlers there is in DIRECT opposition to the stated will of God as expressed all through the Scriptures and specifically outlined inEzekiel 36 in which God speaks not to people but to the actual Mountains in Israel. Does anybody care that we are heading over Niagara Falls following a policy of appeasement that will result in the fist of God coming down on OUR heads?

If Gog (Joj) is George what does this mean? Ezekiel 39:6 says, "And I will send a fire on Magog, and among them that dwell carelessly in the isles: and they shall know that I am the LORD." If Gog is George then Magog is the land of Gog. Thus, America will be destroyed with fire when Israel is invaded and America will not be a leader in the Tribulation. As far as the definitions listed above, b) describes America well as the chief leader of possessions and perversions.

Bush declared here this week that biblical Judea and Samaria, Israel's biblical patrimony, as declared by the Holy One of Israel in his own immutable Word, is now the rightful Palestinian national homeland!!

He asked Israel to end the supposedly unlawful "occupation" of its own biblical patrimony!! But "unlawful" based on whose law? Certainly not God's law!! It seems clear that our dear President has stopped reading God's law and God's book now, at least when it comes to this very vital matter.
Instead, he foolishly and eagerly with both hands, has now picked up for himself and by proxy for all of the USA, the fateful "cup of reeling and trembling," so clearly described in Zechariah 12: 2-3. Privately, according to media reports, he has also been calling for Israeli leaders to make painful concessions when it comes to the holy city!

That is all code language planning to divide up Jerusalem!! And he aims to be back here in May just to make sure that Israel has started to carry through on such things!! The month of May - Israel's 60th birthday!! Supposedly to be a time of joyfully celebrating the miracle of modern Zionism!

At least half the people here almost certainly wish he would just stay home next time. I am sorry, but with friends like this does Israel really need outright enemies? Ask the average person here on the street. Meanwhile,
in Bethlehem, he declared how happy he was to be there in Palestine! And at dinner in Jerusalem he openly urged Olmert's wavering coalition partners in the Shas party and in the Israel Beitenu parties to please not leave Olmert's government. Because, he said, we (i.e. the United States?) need this strong leader (strong leader? Olmert? I think Olmert must have looked around the room at that point to see who he was speaking about!) to keep this vital process going! Vital for who?

With such blatant meddling in Israeli politics, it makes us wonder what goes on behind the scenes! How awful! These coalition partners are correctly and righteously considering to pull out of Olmert's coalition because they see where all this is headed! God is telling them, it seems, to do one thing, while President Bush, clearly and openly, is telling them to do the opposite thing that they really should be doing! Dear Lord, dear Lord.....

And he seems absolutely determined now to carry forth this bold new deception of his all on his own! Bush now has made all this his personal business, more, much more than ever Carter or Clinton or any misguided leader ever dared to do, until now, in all of American history! Yes, it is George W. Bush, republican of Texas, and weak Christian (?) brother in the Lord, who has made this now personal new obsession of his into the major new and declared American foreign policy, when it comes to the Holy Land! Ouch!

Meanwhile, our current Israeli leadership under the "Chamberlain-like" Olmert are being all compliant, and fawning, acting absolutely obsequious toward Bush. It has been a disgusting display of cowardice. Bibi (Benjamin) Netanyahu, an often double-minded politician himself, at least had the nerve to call Olmert and the whole gang a bunch of spineless sycophants! And this time Bibi was right! Is Olmert a patriotic Israeli Jewish Zionist leader or just the compliant and whimpering puppy dog now of both Rice and Bush?

Remember also, this is not just Condi Rice anymore folks, no, we are now past that! Nor is this just another assault on Zionism coming from foggy bottom, as from the State Department! No dear friends, WARNING!! This is now the President of the USA, and our so-called "Christian brother in the Lord," who is leading the global charge for the whole world, as it would seem, against Israel and against the holy land! So I for one, as an American Christian Zionist (living in Israel) take this all to be a very serious matter!

Bush is also being very double minded.... since while here he also declared that the future, shrunken-down version of Israel that he envisions, what is to be left of Israel, after all these concessions to Abbas and his terrorist friends have been made, is the rightful Jewish homeland! Thanks but no thanks!

God's version of what is the rightful Jewish homeland just happens to be several times bigger Mister President! Please, no more favors! No, Israel for once and at last needs to and must put its trust only and forever in the living God, not in Olmert and his cronies, and not in Uncle Sam either!

On Thursday morning, January 10th, we had a rare dense fog and drizzle settle over Jerusalem which grounded the President's helicopters. Praise the Lord! That was so interesting! Rare "pea soup" fog all over the Holy City! I believe it was the Lord mercifully giving the administration a way out, so that Bush could have cancelled the trip planned that morning over to Ramallah to meet there with Abbas and make yet more evil and misguided public declarations while standing at his side! He could have, but he didn't!

Instead, apparently, Bush made an executive decision, against security concerns, to go to Ramallah by car instead! This was a sad last minute change in all the careful security plan! So brother Bush, a weak Christian, who nevertheless is (or we hope he is) our brother in the Lord, has become so head-strong now, and so fixed on this wrong path....that a record breaking, for Israel, 45 car presidential motorcade was hastily assembled in order to keep this evil appointment in Ramallah and get him there on time! Later, he joked about it on TV and quite arrogantly too, which personally made me just shudder.

Yes, it has all been rather scary to watch - a freak mid-winter tornado outbreak in the USA, a once in 50 year probability, on January 8th, the day Bush leaves DC on his misguided mission to Israel, and come on! One of the tornados rips through an obscure town in Arkansas called Jerusalem! Destroying the main church in the town, knocking over tombstones in the church cemetery, killing one person there locally and making world news via CNN and the internet. Now I am afraid, and I hope and pray I am wrong, (Seriously, I do) that all this is just a small prequel and sign of what may be coming.

Say what you wish, but the Lord God of Israel, is not pleased with the current direction of this president! At least not when it comes to his new policy for Israel! I challenge anyone, biblically, to prove so otherwise!

Media reports here in Israel say that Bush is now going to make a 30 billion $US arms deal with Saudi Arabia on this same trip, right now! So the USA is actively and brazenly arming the sworn enemies of Israel while weakening Israel herself, all on the same trip! [This is what Britian did and lost her Empire (my insert)]

This is a very duplicitous strategy for a supposed friend of Israel! My conclusion friends? President Bush is not a real friend of Israel! Although once he was deemed to be - not so any more! No, not the way he is behaving!

That arms deal is being made, of course, to also bolster the faltering United States economy. But friends, this is utter foolishness, for the Lord can wipe out any such gains in about one second of judgment, or in one hour of stock market losses, if he would so choose! Please spare us from your wrath, O Lord! And in Your wrath, please "remember mercy!" (Habakkuk 3:2 )

Meanwhile, poor Israel, since the departure of Bush on Friday the 11th, has been hit by a nasty cold wave from Siberia! Same cold wave that brought a once-in-a-lifetime snowfall over in Baghdad, Iraq last week!
Already we have been in the grips here of one of the five worst winter droughts so far in modern Israeli history, since 1948, and now we are expecting wide-spread killing frosts, every night, night after night! This cold wave is impacting all the country and could take a heavy toll on local agriculture here in Israel. Below zero Celsius temperatures, (under 32 degrees Fahrenheit) has just hit the valley of Megiddo today, on Shabbat morning, especially near Afula - with probably some heavy killing frosts in that prime agricultural area.

Lord have mercy - cold and dry, but with low humidity! It has turned clear and cold now, after all the unusual heavy fog has lifted, and yet there is still no significant precipitation anywhere on the horizon. We are still praying here against this pernicious drought, please join us!

The visibility however now is excellent, with such an extremely clear and crisp air mass presently over us!
O that the Mighty One of Israel would please now open our spiritual eyes, the eyes of all of us, beginning (please, Lord) with me - to see things as He sees them, just that clearly!

Much in prayer in shivering cold, clear and dry Jerusalem!

Have things really begun to speed up.... It is hard to believe that HSB was talking about this stuff years ago... when it seemed implausible.... Well it sure is plausible now!

HSB, Don: thanks for posting. I remember Daniel in Dan9 after reading Jeramiah and seeing the prophecy nearing fulfillment , he was driven to his knees to pray for his people, asking forgiveness for their sin and God's mercy. May God's will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

I know I have an uneasiness and find it difficult to pray lately --always an overwhelmed feeling comes over me and I am battling confusion in my pray life esp. when praying for Israel and our countries in NA and our leaders.

I am thinking we should commit to fasting and praying and reading God's word asking for wisdom and discernment in these days--like the sons of Issachar.

Regarding my post of January 19th, I would really appreciate a critique of the Hebrew word definitions quoted from Strongs and GK. I am deeply impressed when the president of the Sanhedrin makes the type of assertion that was in the megillat bush. We are entering into grave times that require action not complacency. We must fight the implications of this peace deal in every way we can. Are there some Hebrew scholars out there who would care to comment?

Recently there was a separate discussion thread wondering if George could be Gog. The universal sentiment seems to be that the notion is nonsense. Below I have cut and pasted a few clips that show that the linkage actually is possible (perhaps not probable but certainly possible) The first is a linguist piece showing how names are reflected in different languages. For example in Romanian Gog and George are the same name, much like Richard and Rick are in English or perhaps John and Ian. Note that the highlighting is mine. The question marks are actually an inability of the program to translate a Romanian letter.

George (Gogu) Constantinescu (1881 - 1965) was a Romanian scientist and engineer, considered one of the country's most important. He was responsible for creating a new branch of continuous medium mechanics, called "sonicity", which described the transmission of mechanical energy through vibrations. He also invented the sonic engine.

While we are discussing names keep track of the following military figures. First understand that there are no 5 star generals in the US military at this point in time (it is a rank basically reserved for wartime) So the heaviest hitters are the 4 star generals. After Annapolis session starting November 27,2007, ..exactly 60 years after the UN declaration allowing Israel to be born) Condi Rice appointed recently retired 4 star General James L Jones to directly report to her about mid -east affairs. General Jones adds to a pretty impressive line up of other serving officers. Recall that President Bush appointed (3 star) Lieutenant General William Fraser III to personally coordinate follow-up details to Annapolis. What is Lt. General Fraser's regular job? General Fraser joins fellow 3 star Lieutenant General Keith Dayton who is working with Palestinian security issues in the area. Look for some serious traction in the next few months leading up to President Bush returning for the 60th anniversary "celebrations" of the state of Israel on Thursday May 8 (Iyar 3). Normally the celebrations are held Iyar 5 but this year that turns out to be a sabbath. Time for serious arm twisting folks if the new PA state is to emerge on George's watch. Perhaps it is time for some NATO intervention in Gaza and West Bank as peacekeepers as part of the "transition" process.
