  • Maps Thread (Merged Threads)

Thought I'd start a thread we can post maps on. I keep trying to find the areas mentioned in articles and it is hard, so I thought a central Map Link might be a good idea. Maps showing the OT names of these areas would be great too.

Here is a map on a BBC site, I am sorry I can't post the image maybe someone can do it, I can't figure out how to do it on this board.

When you are at the sight with the map, right click over the image. Choose properties. Highlight the Address (URL):. Press CTRL+INS or CTRL+C. Go back to WeDG. Click on the . Press SHIFT+INS or CTRL+V and then OK.

Great maps. Here's one from Debka that shows the areas being hit by Israel:

              Re: Maps Thread

I think these maps and sites are valuable for our readers to help understand the geographics of what's happening so - I've "stuck" this thread, too.

                Re: Sorry

Sorry, I guess N1095A and I were posting at the same time. The link I posted is to the same map from Debka, so maybe the mods can take my post down?

                    Re: Maps Thread

I have been finding that maps combined with satellite and aerial photos are excellent: Fore pictures, I downloaded Google Earth for free. It is awesome. I do have high speed internet. Dial up might be slow.

                        Israel History Complete w/Maps

I found this site and it is very educational. (I have only checked out the page I'm posting a link to. If there is anything objectionable here, just do the delete thing. I believe it looks pretty good though.)

                          Re: Israel History Complete w/Maps

Great site. Thanks for the great find and for sharing. I had this great book on the history of Israel and the RoadMap to Hell. I lost it in the move but it was the best reference on the historical background...now I can just share this site with others when they ask about it. Thank you!

                            Re: Israel History Complete w/Maps

It also highlights Israels greatest mistake in its modern history, after the '67 war the Arabs of the so-called West Bank and Gaza were packed up and ready to leave, when they were persuaded to stay by the Israelis. They made the same mistake Joshua and the Kings of Israel made! thinking they can live together in peace and share the land, look where its got them.
