    Problems slow down Iran's nukes

A series of technical problems at the central Iranian nuclear facility at Natanz appear to have slowed down its nuclear fuel-enrichment program and put on hold plans to expand it, it was reported on Tuesday.

In April, Iran succeeded in operating a cascade of 164 centrifuges, an amount sufficient to fuel nuclear power plants, but far short of the threshold of several thousand needed to build a nuclear bomb. A second round of feeding uranium into centrifuge enrichment machines began on June 6.

According to one diplomat, several unconfirmed reports state that the first cascade, basis for Iranian plans to install 3,000 centrifuges by 2007, had a failure rate of up to 50 percent, Channel 2 reported.

He said the centrifuges seemed to be showing fragility after being spun at supersonic speeds, and the nature of materials injected into them - which could involve impurities in the uranium - could be damaging too.

That is too weird. Something has taken place somewhere....didn't Solana have a dinner party within the last few days that everyone was invited to?
It's like I heard once....."more corporate decisions are made on the golf course than are made in the board room"

In reality this is a 'recycled" article that first came out several weeks ago (late April?)- and comes as a result of iran trying to rush ahead to the point where they could announce to the world that they had "refined" uranium and thus there could be no "turning back"... it has nothing to do with the recent unsuccessful discussions that took place between Solana and Iran...

Iran reportedly slows its nuclear fuel drive
By William J. Broad and David E. Sanger The New York Times

      WEDNESDAY, MAY 31, 2006

According to International Atomic Energy Agency inspectors, Iranian engineers stopped pouring a raw form of uranium, called UF6, into arrays of centrifuges after just 12 days, even as the nation erupted in celebrations of the enrichment feat. The reports, which have now been widely circulated, say the Iranians kept the empty centrifuges spinning, as is standard practice because slowing the delicate machines can cause them to wobble and crash
      http://www.iht.com/articles/2006/05/29/news/iran.php

The liberal press - e.g. NYTs and others are trying hard to spin the"slow-down" story to infer that the "slow-down" is/was Iran's way of signaling a mood of more co-operation with the west,

....however several other reports (again weeks ago) indicated that in was more a fear on the part of Iran's scientists that they would damage their limited "progress" on refinement (and damage their equipment) that had actually been achieved using purified materials that they had acquired from either China and/or Pakistan - thus undercutting Iran's claims that they had been successful in achieving some sort of technical break-thru on their own.....

IN other words Iran "cheated at cheating"

I am SO tired Tom...so tired of the "spin", leaks, lies and wicked prospering. I pray that we are taken home soon and I pray that because, yes I am tired, but most of all...I am hurting for Israel and want them saved and I want to see God glorified and see every person bow and tongue confess that Jesus is Lord! He IS the King of Kings.
