    peace ... peace ....

    and there is none.

Man learns about history, not from history. To learn from history requires wisdom. Cut off from God, he has none, so history repeats; no new thing under the sun.

Over 100 reported dead in seven Bombay explosions
              By AP AND JPOST STAFF

Seven explosions rocked Bombay's commuter rail network during Tuesday evening rush hour, a railway spokesman said. The blasts ripped apart train compartments. While estimates of casualties were conflicting, Indian police said Tuesday evening that 104 people had been killed, Sky News reported.

Danny Sivan, Israel's consul in Bombay, told Israel Radio that Israeli tourists do not tend to frequent the area where the explosions occurred. Sivan told interviewers that while his office was making attempts to contact Israelis traveling around Bombay, no reports had been received of any who were in the vicinity of the explosions.

I wonder if this will spark new tensions between India and Pakistan?
Things had cooled off for the last year or two.

Remember how I was just saying in the last couple days that this area could go nuclear first and I was thinking that in 1999?

You may be right on this, they have come close a couple of times. It
seems like every couple of days a new flash point flares up.

Seven Explosions Hit India Train Stations During Rush Hour
                          http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,202920,00.html

Seven explosions hit Mumbai's transit system on Tuesday, killing at leat 131 people and injuring more than 300, in what officials described as a well-coordinated terrorist attack. Shortly after the bombings, police arrested members of an Islamic group in India.

India's major cities were put on high alert after the blasts, and Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh called an emergency Cabinet meeting.

The Press Trust of India said the blasts occurred along the city's commuter rail network, which is among the most crowded in the world. All the blasts had hit first-class cars, the agency reported. “There are thousands and thousands of people riding these trains,” Asthana said.

This is why India was flying the Agni III the other day.

                            Agni = "fire"

Certainly that is a real possibility - when the Indian parliment was bombed a few years ago Pakistan was blamed for supporting the terrorists and Indai came close to declaring war...

Dean Nelson, India Correspondent for The Sunday Times, said: "These attacks could be linked to Kashmir or they could be more localised - or they could be several causes coming together. Most people would think it would be with Muslim organised crime rather than Muslim terrorism.

"Bombay has a very big Muslim population. It all depends on who the victims are, whether any specific group has been targeted."
