The End of MWM

Greetings all,

Letting everyone know that after somewhere around 28 years, when our annual hosting expires on 08/24/2025, Millennium Weekend Ministries we will not be renewing. Lack of interest for the past many years makes it clear to Esther and me that it does not make any sense to continue to keep the site running.

Many thanks to the handful of folks that have stuck it out with us. Perhaps very soon we shall all meet when we hear the glorious voice of our Savior calling us home to the Father's house. Certainly any who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ alone for their salvation, repenting with a "broken and contrite heart" (Ps 34:18 and 51:17) will find mercy and will indeed be caught up together to meet our Savior in the air.

What a glorious day that will be.

In Christ alone,
Andy

  • Jimmy Carter has high hopes for Hamas

    http://newsmax.com/scripts/printer_f...946.shtml?s=ic

Former President Jimmy Carter expressed optimism Friday over Hamas's participation in next week's Palestinian parliamentary elections, saying that while the group may be terrorists, at least they're not corrupt.

Interviewed Friday, Carter said that although Hamas were "so-called terrorists," so far "there have been no complaints of corruption against [their] elected officials."

In quotes reported by the Jerusalem Post, Carter did concede that "there is an element within Hamas who deny Israel's right to exist."

Citing his own negotiations with Palestinian Liberation Organization chief Yassir Arafat, however, Carter said sometimes you have to learn to work with terrorists. At the time of Carter's Camp David Accords, the PLO was still outlawed as a terrorist organization.

The former president also invoked the example of former Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin's membership in the Irgun, which Carter reminded "was also characterized as a terrorist organization."

To think this man was once an officer on a nuclear submarine and then
our president, I don't know if it is age or what, but he seems to be
        getting worse.

The Ohio Trident and beginning of her sister ships were launched during his administration. Having tried with Sadat and Begin, he still continues the fool's errand of "peace in the Middle East". A nice-sounding, but impossible idea. Like Neville Chamberlain, ignoring that shaking hands with monsters does not work.

Clinton tried it with Arafat and Rabin.

And now Bush is trying it with Abbas and Ohlmert (and Sharon before him).

The more things change, the more they remain the same.

                --------

Carter, Clinton and now Bush Jr. They're all preparatory players in the final days scenario that will produce the confirmation of the covenant for 7 years when the Antichrist comes onto the world scene.

True, and this makes it difficult to know how to pray for our leaders.
