Bizarre indeed.

Something made me think, though - could Russia be duping the US the other way by undermining our confidence in Trump?

If everyone is up in arms thinking he's involved in something he isn't, that would destabilize us and let them have a freer hand.

Such psychological warfare wouldn't be impossible for someone like Putin to design, but the possibility jsut adds to the strangeness and makes me glad I know the Lord is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Because we don't know who or what we can rely on otherwise.

The US is trying to hang on(you see it mostly in the comments from Republicans like McCain and Lindsey), but the damage is moving the idea of a world government forward. For Russia that would be power sharing.

Putin is also hoping the position Trump has taken, and Trump's comments about Crimea etc. means he will be able to push Trump into allowing him to expand his Eurasian Union without accepting democracy.
