What an interesting choice. This has been going on for years. The vast majority of the world don't trust the idea of "a" government controlling it and have been complaining for years. For obvious reasons, entire conspiracy theories rose out of that one. Especially with all the power the US has been acquiring lately and the shift in roads they have taken. What many see as "world domination".
The control a government has over the population of the world scared a lot of people. Hence conspiracies.
Most of the powers that be out there were pushing for the UN to control it, and more conspiracy theories rose up.
For obvious reasons, many were sure the one world government would take control. And still eventually may take it.
