Imho, couldnt happen to nicer people

These Opec countries have economically terrorized, impoverished the 3rd world since 1973, and caused lots of problems here too...

Us historians have seen it coming sooner or later of course... Whenever someone wins the lottery, suddenly aquires unearned megawealth, it allways causes serious problems... Nation states are no exception...
Spain is a classic example... although it took a while in their case...

In the Saudies case, no one in the Saudi Kingdom has had to work since WW2... The oil paid everyones bills...
Now, they think the gravy train will last forever, but sooner rather than later the money will stop and then--

There will be more. This is what the low oil prices are about; economic warfare. The country whose currency is the "world reserve currency" is able to print their way to surviving the low prices because their "money" has the whole earth as it's "nation." That is why they are able to continue inflating the money supply without the usual devastating effects as when currencies used in only one country are printed too much. (Technically, any amount of fiat money is "too much.")

It just took a few decades for other nations to start flooding the markets with their petroleum-based resources to cut the umbilical cord.
