The End of MWM

Greetings all,

Letting everyone know that after somewhere around 28 years, when our annual hosting expires on 08/24/2025, Millennium Weekend Ministries we will not be renewing. Lack of interest for the past many years makes it clear to Esther and me that it does not make any sense to continue to keep the site running.

Many thanks to the handful of folks that have stuck it out with us. Perhaps very soon we shall all meet when we hear the glorious voice of our Savior calling us home to the Father's house. Certainly any who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ alone for their salvation, repenting with a "broken and contrite heart" (Ps 34:18 and 51:17) will find mercy and will indeed be caught up together to meet our Savior in the air.

What a glorious day that will be.

In Christ alone,
Andy

  • Interesting quote

This is not intended to be a doctrinal statement, so please don't pick it apart or ask me to give you a supporting book chapter and verse.

It's a quote from Chuck Missler, no doubt born from experience. It's a quote that I found to challenging and worth remembering in difficult times. It really hit home with me so I wanted to share it with you my brethren.

    Quote:
Every day God finds a new way to ask the question; "Do you trust me?".

I totally understand this question. God wants to know if we trust him with every single aspect, area, concern, provision, blessing, trial, etc., of our lives. Most people would only reply that they trust God with the big stuff.

Well, for example, several years back, when my dad fell down a set of outdoor metal stairs and severely injured his head, my mom would pray and ask the Lord to provide a parking space close to the front of the hospital. She was having problems with one of her hip joints and walking long distances were a great distress to her. God answered her each time. That was just a small, little, insignificant thing to most people, but to my mom, it was tremendous!

There have been time when I have forgotten my shopping list when I go to get groceries. I ask the Lord to help me remember what I wrote down and each time, when I get home, I check the list and sure enough, I got just what I needed to get.

Then there are the "big" things, too. Getting arrangements settled within one day's time to go to the funerals of my brother and dad. Talking with the insurance adjustor to find out if the car is totalled and replaceable. Getting the house refinanced at the bank and doing it in under two hours (that was a BIG one).

God wants us to trust him for every little and every big thing that takes place in our lives. We just need to make sure we give him the glory, honor and praise when he does what he says he will do.

      Re: Interesting quote

I seem to relearn this lesson every time a new crisis enter my life...must be something to do with my Polish lineage...

But I can look back at journal entries from those crisis moments in my life and really see this to be true at the very practical level of simple day to day needs, much as ya'll have made reference to in your anecdotal stories...
