  • Yet another prophecy being fulfilled - Fish in the Dead Sea....more

    Fascinating, to say the least.

It is truly. The Dead Sea has been losing its salinity for quite a few years and now fish can live in it! God is amazing.

I was raised to believe that the water flowing from Jerusalem down would be fulfilled under the Reign of Christ.
Well, perhaps it will fully be realized then, but - alas, we're seeing it starting today and it's affecting this Sea.
      Astounding, really.

        Ez 47
8 Then he said to me, “These waters go out toward the eastern region and go down into the Arabah; then they go toward the sea, being made to flow into the sea, and the waters of the sea become [a]fresh. 9 It will come about that every living creature which swarms in every place where the [b]river goes, will live. And there will be very many fish, for these waters go there and the others [c]become fresh; so everything will live where the river goes. 10 And it will come about that fishermen will stand beside it; from Engedi to Eneglaim there will be a place for the spreading of nets. Their fish will be according to their kinds, like the fish of the Great Sea, very many. 11 But its swamps and marshes will not become [d]fresh; they will be [e]left for salt. 12 By the river on its bank, on one side and on the other, will grow all kinds of trees for food. Their leaves will not wither and their fruit will not fail. They will bear every month because their water flows from the sanctuary, and their fruit will be for food and their leaves for healing.”
This is a Millennial prophecy - yet we are seeing the start of it now.

        Zech 14
8 And in that day living waters will flow out of Jerusalem, half of them toward the eastern sea and the other half toward the western sea; it will be in summer as well as in winter.
In context, this looks also like the same timing.

Yeah, oe thing I've always wondered, will some of this MIllennial stuff come gradually, or all at once.

We know there will be a humongous earthquake at the end of the Tribulation, maybe causing a bunch of smaller ones that completely destroy what wasn't already wrecked. I thought the ground might just crack open enough to cause that flow to begin. However, this doesn't seem like somewhere where it would have to be that sudden, not like, say, the animals suddenly becoming peaceful. (Unless God has to re-create some - I remember a discussion 30 or so years ago as a young believer with a fellow concerning whether a sign of the End Times was that lions were becoming close to extinct - because they had to exist to populate the MIllennial kingdom since it is said that they will be peaceful specifically. He said he thought that God re-create some animals, and it is possible with the widespread destruction that will occur.

Then again, he could always save just 2 of each like in NOah's day.
