One thing I know for sure, it is unheard of to see the Aurora Borealis as far south as FL where I live. I've seen some awesome photos of them in Tampa and as far south as Naples! While I've seen them myself way North and in AK I haven't seen them here. Maybe I go to bed too early.

NOAA is now predicting a severe storm on May 11th
A CARRINGTON-CLASS SUNSPOT:
Sunspot AR3664 has grown so large, it now rivals the great Carrington sunspot of 1859.
SEVERE GEOMAGNETIC STORM WATCH: This weekend's geomagnetic storm watch has been upgraded from G2 (Moderate) to G4 (Severe). Why? Because giant sunspot AR3664 keeps hurling CMEs toward Earth. Following today's X2.2 solar flare, there are now at least 4 storm clouds heading our way.
