  • INVASION USA: Shocking footage shows a boat of male migrants arrive at the beach...

Jack Hibbs referred to this but I had to do some digging to find it.

INVASION USA: Shocking footage shows a boat of male migrants arrive at the beach in La Jolla, San Diego, Calif., where they proceed to run and disperse out into the wealthy neighborhood.

As a Floridian I am not shocked at all. We've had this going on for decades. Illegals from Cuba, Haiti, Mexico, you name it. Any of you remember the so-called Mariel Boat Lift in the 80s when Castro cleaned out his prisons and mental institutions? They had to create a camp in Miami to try to contain them all. Back then we at least had the illusion of an Immigration Policy.
What interests me the most regarding the current Border Crisis is why do we have Chinese men, Yemeni men, etc. coming in? How do they even get to N. America to cross?

      They are well funded.

Man learns about history, not from history. To learn from history requires wisdom. Cut off from God, he has none, so history repeats; no new thing under the sun.

Thank you Brother Issacchar for lighting my hair on fire first thing this a.m.! Fox is the only news outlet that relentlessly reports on the Border Crisis. I hadn't seen the interview about the UN funding these illegals. On the American tax payers dime no less. One more reason for this nation to leave that corrupt globalist organization and throw them off the prime real estate in Manhattan that we let them use. All of this makes me beyond angry.

It's your fault GH. You asked.

Seriously though, may I encourage you to not be angry about this? It's not healthy for us. I call that a "mirror message" because I'm speaking to myself as well.

I believe everything that we are seeing in these days, is prophecy being fulfilled. The U.S. is yet another nation "of the world."

            Revelation 18:
            3
For ALL nations have drunk the wine of the passion of her sexual immorality, and the kings of the earth have committed immorality with her, and the merchants of the earth have grown rich from the power of her luxurious living. (ESV)

Brother Issachar I am not really that angry about it anymore. It's been going on for so long. I am resigned to the reality my Grandkids will never have the same world I grew up in. I only chose the "angry" emoticon because the Bang Head one doesn't work!

I called it a "mirror message" because . . because . . because I can relate too well!

I look around and like Andy said, in another post [#1] this morning, "As we watch the craziness of our world, one can't help but shake their heads in bewilderment sometimes."

I often say that as Christians, we are seekers of truth. Truth is always logical (even if we don't see it) and being such, makes sense. The "world" is drifting (racing?) away from truth. So it's reasonable to look around and want to see what makes sense. That has become a hunt requiring some real hunting skills.

I really like the term, "mirror message".
                  That fits so well.

I've shared many times that, as a veteran of the 1991 Gulf War, it tends to really "get my goat" as I watch Iraq/the entire Middle East fall prey to "radical Islam" (no such thing - they are following their 'holy book')...and watch the impotence of the US. I admit I had a lot of pride back then when we obliterated Saddam's forces in Kuwait. I watched our guys come back to our base after successful bombing runs...one after another, and saw a lot from behind the scenes of what was going on and...it was impressive.
                  BUT
By God's grace alone, I have gotten a lot better at having a much more "heavenly-focus" and less patriotic to this wicked nation that is BEGGING for God's holy judgment to fall.

This verse, specifically the part I will bold, comes to mind often:

Isaiah 45:9 Woe unto him that striveth with his Maker! Let the potsherd strive with the potsherds of the earth. Shall the clay say to him that fashioneth it, What makest thou? or thy work, He hath no hands?

Yes. Only One did not require a mirror when speaking and indeed, was/is the mirror.

Sometimes if I speak, I'll set up a chair a bit out from me, facing me and prop a mirror on it.

Yes, grace alone. Your "heavenly-focus term caused me to think of:

                    Colossians 3:
                    1
If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.
2 Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.
3 For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. (ESV)

I know the feeling, Andy.I was doing some devotionals for our former inner city ministry youth who are graduating, and mentioned how we can't say unequivocally that x disaster is because of how the US is treating Israel, partly becasue there is *so* much God can judge us for.

You may have also helped answer a question. One of the fathers of a few of these kids was in Afghanistan. I've been feeling led to do a special message, especially for them, but I wasn't sure why. (One is among a few of the youth graduating high school, but it seemed like more than that. I imagien he is really frustrated, too.

Since our director passed away over 2 years ago, we may just be getting kids to church camp now, but they are still brothers and sisters in Christ. (Which was the theme last year as I finished 3 years of messages with Phil. 3:14 as thekey verse of my devotional.) And, given his situation, I imagine it would be hard for him; and might even be hard for him to admit he is frustrated. But God is always there even if he struggles with telling others his needs.
