    Indecency complaints increase at FCC

    No duh!!

How about this bit of dancing by this guy:

Although the number of complaints is up, the Progress and Freedom Foundation, a think tank backed by media companies, claims that the commission's figures give a false impression.

"The FCC now measures indecency complaints differently than all other types of complaints," said Adam Thierer, a senior fellow at the outfit. "In so doing, it permits a process whereby indecency complaints appear to be artificially inflated relative to other types of complaints."

Thierer claims that accounting changes at the FCC are giving too much weight to campaigns like those run by PTC.
No -it's because the level of raunchy trash really is increasing on our tubes, in the media, and on the air. But since you seem to involved in the industry that likes to continue to define down standards of decency, you cannot see the decline the rest of us see who adhere to moral standards.

That's why we are going to satellite and cable boxes with parental controls.

I live in NC. how can radio talk show hosts be so vulgar and get by w/ it? There are Children who are on their way to school, middle school kids riding w/ teenagers who can drive.
Here it's Johnboy and Billy show. My goodness. They can say whatever they want. Is that Great for the FCC, do they like it too? And what about the Bob & Tom, Lewis & Floorwax? My husband used to listen to that stuff (Or I hope it's used too) and I told him that was ofensive to me, they degrade women so bad, it's unreal to discuss here. But anyway, how can they get by with it? People must not say anything about it or report it maybe? Or I should say "enough people?"
