Dear Brother Andy, the Enemy is very busy right now. I went through something similar about a year and a half ago. I did not see a way that I was going to be able to continue to pay my bills, which are really basics since I don't have a car payment or mortgage but just trying to pay for electric, water, groceries etc. and with a very bad back at my age, not a lot of jobs I can do because I can't stand or sit for hours on end. In one moment God changed things for me. Literally. Suddenly, God showed up in a big way.
I am going to be praying that He will do the same thing for you and your wife. I know he can and he will. Be at peace. You are right at the top of my prayer list now.

Praying for you; I had a Red Sea situation like that, too, in 2011; it can be rough being self-employed. God is powerful, though, and He will find a way where there seems to be none.

Honestly, Doug?
Being self-employed, working from home, has been a dream of mine for over 40 years.
And I'm now working with a couple of mentors toward that end but - as we all know, it takes time to build that...and time is absolutely NOT on our side.

Yes, we need a huge miracle (more than one. There's another awful situation facing us that I'm not at liberty to discuss but it will be life-impacting for years to come).

I appreciate the prayers - they're needed like never before, for us.

Yeah, with my handicaps it's been all I could do, it's never *really* taken off, and people just don't get estate planning done during a recession - the problem was really a few years in the making as savings dwindled form the 2008 crash. God came through at just the right time.
