It is sad as some in the Jewish religious world are carrying around a lot of the past sins of the world on their shoulders. Hmmm something secular Jews seem to be able to let go. I think about Jesus stressing the forgiveness of sins, not just yours, but also the sins of others. A message that some how isn't making it into the world in general. It is sad as the world leaders are apologizing and trying to make amends for past sins but the recipients aren't getting relief as they aren't getting the message Jesus gave us.

Instead they are counting on this "messiah" to come and prove their teachings are right.

The very human attribute that managed to keep the Bible intact is now the very attribute that is causing this to happen ?????

      Interesting...food for thought??

The writer is a rabbi at Yeshivat Har Etzion, a hesder, pre-military yeshiva. He has rabbinical ordination, and a BA in computer science, from Yeshiva University, as well as a master’s degree in English literature from the City University of New York.

      A Culture of Victimhood
Religion is also threatened by the culture of victimhood, which breeds hatred and resentment rather than generosity and compassion.

WOW! SAT thank you. I read the entire article and feel that this Rabbi succinctly summarizes a huge part of the problem we face in America today. He just nails it. Nails it. Thanks for sharing this.

After bar mitzvah overrun by zealots, parents lament: 'We saw Israel at its lowest' | The Times of Israel

The group comprised roughly 50 teenage boys and young men, many of them Haredi but some Haredi-Leumi, or Hardal. One of the main instigators was the son of United Torah Judaism MK Yitzhak Pindrus, who has himself boasted of organizing protests against Women of the Wall.

As these are the groups Netanyahu is surrounding himself with, and depending on, you have to wonder "Where is Israel going?"????

US antisemitism envoy 'deeply disturbed' by Western Wall egalitarian services fracas | The Times of Israel

US special envoy on antisemitism Deborah Lipstadt said Tuesday that she was “deeply disturbed” by an incident at the Western Wall last week in which ultra-Orthodox extremists interrupted bar and bat mitzvah ceremonies at the site’s egalitarian plaza.

“Deeply disturbed by the troubling actions of a group of extremists last week at the Kotel,” tweeted Lipstadt, who is visiting Israel this week.

“Let us make no mistake, had such a hateful incident — such incitement — happened in any other country, there’d be little hesitation in labeling it antisemitism,” she added.

Biden is a fool to sell Turkey weapons. Short memory on how they essentially kicked us off of our Air Force Base in Turkey a few years back.

Activists protest Israeli gestures to PA during Biden visit | Israel National News - Arutz Sheva

It's weird as Israelis it seems really didn't read the written words of the Trump administration. They saw grand celebrations and heard the words but didn't read the written text that Trump, Netanyahu and the Arab leaders signed(and the Arabs are expecting Israel to follow through on their word.). So Lapid and Biden, as the successive government leaders, are being portrayed as the villains. The problem is this and other written and signed words.
                            Example???
                            Jerusalem

While a physical division of the city must be avoided, a security barrier currently exists that does not follow the municipal boundary and that already separates Arab neighborhoods (i.e., Kafr Aqab, and the eastern part of Shuafat) in Jerusalem from the rest of the neighborhoods in the city.

This physical barrier should remain in place and should serve as a border between the capitals of the two parties.

Jerusalem will remain the sovereign capital of the State of Israel, and it should remain an undivided city. The sovereign capital of the State of Palestine should be in the section of East Jerusalem located in all areas east and north of the existing security barrier, including Kafr Aqab, the eastern part of Shuafat and Abu Dis, and could be named Al Quds or another name as determined by the State of Palestine.

The embassy of the United States to the State of Israel will remain in Jerusalem. Following the signing of the Israeli-Palestinian Peace Agreement, the embassy of the United States to the State of Palestine will be in Al Quds….The United States will recognize the State of Israel and the State of Palestine in their respective capitals and encourage other nations to relocate their embassies to Jerusalem and Al Quds, as applicable.
The Palestinian state would occupy about 70 percent of the West Bank.

Israeli organizations maybe buying up land in Jerusalem thinking it is claiming that area, but so are the Arab countries that signed and even those who haven't signed...yet. Right next to the Mosque/Temple Mount area in what they see as the Arab area. Remember Netanyahu by that time couldn't stop them as he signed the above.

Saudi cleric known for Auschwitz visit, interfaith dialogue, gives main hajj sermon | The Times of Israel

A cleric known for visiting Auschwitz and for his involvement in interfaith dialogue gave the main sermon at the height of the annual hajj pilgrimage at the Nimrah Mosque on Mount Arafat outside Mecca on Friday, after being chosen earlier in the week for the role by Saudi Arabia’s de factor ruler, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

The decision to give the honor to Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdul Karim al-Issa, the head of the Muslim World League, was read by veteran Channel 12 Arab affairs analyst Ehud Ya’ari as “a significant signal” from Saudi Arabia regarding its attitude towards normalization with Israel. Ya’ari said Al-Issa, who has invited rabbis to Saudi Arabia and has visited Yeshiva University in New York, is known in the country as the “Zionist imam.”
The speech came days ahead of US President Joe Biden’s visit to Israel and Saudi Arabia this week, and amid expectations that the trip will feature steps toward a further warming in ties between the two countries.
