Davos is back and the world has changed. Have the global elite noticed? - CNN

The 2022 forum was initially scheduled for January, but it was postponed after the outbreak of the Omicron variant. And while organizers have cobbled together a delayed springtime edition that they hope will remain relevant, many heavy hitters have scheduling conflicts or are opting out.
Davos Forum Is Back With Less Billionaire Starpower and No Snow - BNN Bloomberg

The guest list is hundreds of names shorter, with many titans of finance conspicuously absent. The chiefs of Goldman Sachs Group Inc. and JPMorgan Chase & Co. aren’t going. Neither is BlackRock Inc.’s Larry Fink or Steve Schwarzman, the private-equity billionaire.

‘Pandemic treaty’ not on WHO agenda at World Health Assembly this week, source tells ALL ISRAEL NEWS | All Israel News
Despite opposition gaining steam on social media and certain media outlets, the World Health Organization is not expected to implement any sweeping reforms around pandemic response this week at its World Health Assembly (WHA).

The “pandemic treaty” – a set of principles that could eventually be turned into a comprehensive new global pandemic convention or accord – is not even up for debate at the assembly. Rather, the treaty will be discussed in rhetorical terms only, a Geneva insider told ALL ISRAEL NEWS.

From the article in post one
President Vladimir Putin delivered a speech at a virtual edition of the World Economic Forum just last year, and was invited to speak to attendees in 2015 after Russia annexed Crimea.
"At this moment in history where the world has a unique and short window of opportunity to move from an age of confrontation to an age of cooperation, the ability to hear your voice — the voice of the president of the Russian Federation — is essential," Schwab said when introducing Putin in 2021.In 2020, the CEOs of Lukoil, Sberbank and Yandex were on the list of attendees, along with the country's energy minister.
This year, Putin won't be attending. Nor will any Russian officials, magnates or executives. Rather, the program features discussions on issues such as "Cold War 2.0" and the "Return to War."

I have been watching reporting on this for a week or so. One of the differences pre-pandemic was that not a lot of average people were interested in Davos, who attends and Klaus Schwaab. During the pandemic people had an opportunity to see a lot of news reporting (mostly non msm sites) on Klaus Schwaab and who he is and his vision for the future. Same with Bill Gates. These are some of the prime leaders of the NWO vision and I truly believe a lot of people have connected a lot of dots and are extremely suspicious of what has been going on in Davos for years.
The extreme change of wealth (in the trillions) that occurred during the pandemic hasn't gone unnoticed either. I am going to be hunting for news on these meetings and will post anything I find that's relevant.

          Good Morning GH

          That would be great !
It should be interesting as a void doesn't remain empty for long. But what is going to replace it? Over the many many years the elite of the time have talked about a "world order" the vision has changed, sometimes in major ways.
This void won't stay empty for long.

Something that has popped into my head??? The religious leaders for a number of years, including right up to recently, have been saying they are the key and not the political and business elite.

          PS
We all remember the speech Rick Warren gave with the other religious leaders at Davos years ago.

Oddly, the most intensive coverage of this that I could find is here: https://www.cnbcevents.com/wef2022/

CNBC has a complete page dedicated to the WEC, lists all speakers and the schedule. Really worth perusing what these people "represent". This is copied and pasted directly from the WEC and is their stated 3 topic purpose this year: A unique gathering of international business and political leaders, at this year’s World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos, we have curated an agenda which will address three key topics:
              • Sustainability
              • Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI)
              • Cryptocurrency & Web 3.0

With sessions focused on practical solutions, international collaboration, and global viewpoints, hear from thought leaders charting the course ahead for a more sustainable, inclusive and technologically advanced future.

I'm going to keep digging around. One of the big players not attending this year is BlackRock the world's largest assets manager.

Davos Forum: Global Solidarity Fund presents assistance plans - Vatican News

The Global Solidarity Fund is considered a unique alliance of its own kind. Inspired by Pope Francis' grand vision, it promotes partnerships for the most vulnerable by bringing together private and development sectors, as well as Catholic communities. It focuses on the empowerment of the most vulnerable, in line with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, and its goals are in line with the mission, values and social teachings of the Catholic Church.

Previously owned by the Jesuit order, the building now belongs to the Order of the Holy Sepulcher of Jerusalem, which consists of roughly 30,000 Knights and Dames throughout the world, who are dedicated to providing financial support to the church in the Holy Land.

The funds are given to the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem, which operates pastoral, educational, and social works in the territories of Jordan, Palestine, Israel, and Cyprus.

The building dates from the Renaissance and contains a turret, a large courtyard, and ancient frescoes by Italian artist Pinturicchio, and is the only property owned by the Order of the Holy Sepulcher. It currently serves as the Order’s global headquarters

Davos Summit: Challenging inequalities with the help of Laudato si' - Vatican News

Q: And how is this collaboration with people who came from the economic and financial worlds? Do we think they they are interested about the message from Pope Francis and your message?

You heard people today quoting the message clearly from Pope Francis who really are inspired by both the SDGs, but also see that Pope Francis brings the kind of moral responsibility. It's not just a feel good factor, but we have a moral responsibility to bring those who are at the margins to the center of our lives and our mission and our focus. And so many companies have programs of social responsibility that in a sense, if we can partner together with faith-based groups, the different churches, the different faith communities who have the trust of the people, I think a lot more can be achieved. And I think we all feel a moral responsibility in different ways.

Pope Francis's refusal to condemn Putin draws criticism - The Washington Post
He has conspicuously avoided condemning Russian President Vladimir Putin as the aggressor. He has criticized the West’s sanctions and defense spending. And in an interview published this month by an Italian newspaper, Francis appeared to echo a Kremlin talking point, describing the “barking of NATO at Russia’s door” as one of the triggers for Putin’s wrath.
                    Coincidence?? Interesting anyway.

Russia's invasion might start World War III - George Soros - The Jerusalem Post (jpost.com)

Billionaire financier George Soros said on Tuesday that Russia's invasion of Ukraine may have been the beginning of World War Three so the best way to preserve free civilization was for the West to defeat President Vladimir Putin's forces.

Soros, 91, a legendary hedge fund manager who earned fame by betting against the pound in 1992, cast the Ukraine war as part of a broader struggle between open societies and closed societies such as China and Russia which were in the ascent.
At Davos, George Soros warns of the end of civilization — Quartz (qz.com)
Soros was addressing his guests at the customary dinner-cum-speech he delivers at Davos during every World Economic Forum (WEF). The last time he spoke was January 2020, before the pandemic canceled the WEF for two-and-a-half years. But in a half-hour address that mostly ignored covid—and also climate change and inequality—Soros focused on the authoritarianism of Xi Jinping and the war-mongering of Vladimir Putin.

In 2020, Soros had spotted small, hopeful shoots of popular rebellion against tyranny. This year, as his guests ate chicken and polenta, Soros could only pick out Western aid to Ukraine and the resistance of Ukrainians as silver linings. The war, Soros said, “has shaken Europe to its core…Even when the fighting stops, as it eventually must, the situation will never revert to what it was before.”
