  • Why are so many Muslims celebrating Easter this year?

Authors write that Muslim women – who are the spiritual gatekeepers of their religion – are abandoning their posts to follow Jesus
A former Muslim imam once told us, “Passing on the Islamic faith to our children was not my job. I read the Quran, I prayed five times a day, and I went to Friday prayers at the mosque. All the other stuff was left up to my wife. She was the one that taught the children and trained them to be good Muslims. That was her responsibility, not mine.”

And since the women of Islam are in a sense the spiritual gatekeepers of the religion and with so many of them abandoning their posts to follow Jesus, Muslim women are not forgotten any longer.

Islam is in crisis. Whole families are jumping ship to follow Jesus.
But wait a minute, aren’t Muslim women killed when they give their lives to Jesus?

Sadly, some are. But many of these brave sisters in Christ end up having a slow, simmering influence that spreads to their children, and even their husbands who remarkably have also come to faith in Christ.

Jesus is setting women free, elevating them, and they are thriving! They also are using their rightful place as spiritual influencers within their family to advance the Gospel.

Like the women at the empty tomb of Christ, Maha and a score of other Muslim women are finding Jesus is alive and they aren’t keeping silent – because every soul matters.

And Maha is not alone. Women have become the super spreaders of Jesus’ message of love and forgiveness in the Muslim World.
That’s one of the major reasons why thousands and maybe millions of former Muslims will be solemnly observing Good Friday this year, and then joyously celebrating the Resurrection of Jesus Christ as Savior!

For security reasons I wn't say where, but Global Media Outreach tried chat about 9 years ago (it kept crashing the demand was so high) and one of the people I led to Christ was a Muslim woman in a strict Muslim natino. She was very young - "hadn't yet chosen her religion" from what she was, so maybe mid-teens - and was amazed at the freedom Christ gave and how He cared for women.

She was very ambivalent about trusting Christ - she kept saying if she were to come to America she could do it, but she was scared to do so where she was. I finally convinced her, in essence, that God had a plan, but she had to take the first step - maybe He would let her come, but in order to take a train someplace you needed a ticket, right? She took that "free ticket" and acccepted Christ as her Saviour.

Now, here's the *really* cool part. I broke it to her after sharing some of our sites that America was not the Godly nation she thought, that we had a lot of problems, lots of people turning away from God. And you know what she texted back?

"Don't worry. God will be faithful."

The HOly Spirit was already working, giving her peace and comfort in the midst of her struggles.

Never give up praying for those who are lost, confused or in need of a touch from Him.

What an amazing, uplifting story, Doug.
I was an OM (online missionary, for those not familiar with GMO) for many years but over time didn't sense the Spirit was leading me to continue so finally withdrew.
I never had the priv of leading anyone to Christ but thoroughly enjoyed doing Bible studies with a couple of ladies over the years. Pretty sure one was in a Muslim country.

Thank you for sharing those stories, guys. How awesome is our God! He makes a way where there is no way.

Also, from Amir, whose father-in-law died suddenly while traveling with him:

From time to time he was also invited to speak to Korean groups as well.
