  • Shocking new poll reveals that nearly 80% of Palestinians want Abbas to resign

The Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research (PCPSR) conducted the poll in both the West Bank and Gaza Strip between Sept. 15-18 at a time when two of six Palestinian prisoners were still on the loose after escaping a high-security Israeli prison.
“This is the worst polling we’ve ever seen for the president,” said Khalil Shikaki, head of the PCPSR. “He has never been in as bad a position as today.”

I think part of what we are seeing is a younger generation of "Palestinians" who have forgotten Yasser Arafat, which is a very good thing. He was a despicable man but a hero to his generation of people. Arafat was quite charismatic and knew precisely how to manipulate the press. Abbas is just plain old vanilla in comparison. Additionally, things have gotten very much better for these people with more of them receiving an education. People will eventually tire of war. When they look around them and see other Arab countries making nice with Israel they are perhaps now questioning the antiquated PA party line of the evils of Israel. Additionally, Netanyahu is now gone from the scene. He was a polarizing figure for a lot of the Arabs living in Israel due to his hard stance on a lot of issues that affect these people in their everyday lives.

This will be fascinating to watch unfold as Abbas will be forced to have an election with these kinds of polling results.

Abbas will be lucky to have 5% after this.

You are absolutely right SAT! This is the kind of vile behavior that the PA used to falsely accuse the IDF of. A more moderate and sane leader for the PA in the future? Opens a world of possibilities. Not just for the people but in my view from a prophetic time line.

The Palestinian authority has always ruled by terrorizing anyone critical of their rule...in Gaza it is typical for people opposing the terrorist rule to be dragged through the streets behind cars until they die... in other cases victims are tied to a post in the middle of a village doused in gasoline then burned to death... no opposition is tolerated anywhere...
