  • New Music Group - Does Anyone Know of Them?

I was listening to some old WhiteHeart music on Pandora yesterday, and they played a track from a group named Holy Soldier. Never heard of them before. Anyone familiar with them?

Lewis, you wouldn't appreciate their music. Very much Christian hard rock.

    Hard rock......
Of course, we have heard the local earthquakes reverbing from epicenters of culture much of our lives.... Some of the 60's "artists" do come to mind....
However I still have my hearing, so...... I didnt do that...

Now many "real" fundementalists teach that the drum was is satanic as it wasnt in the Bible....and those pesky electric guitars screatching out at 189DB have got to be mind numbing demon entrancing & indwelling....

Of course, I am not a legalist...if you promise not to tally pastor, I do watch some of Aussie's best christian music turned down to a comfortable level
I have always loved the ABBA girls...

I just did a search in my KJV. Can’t find “church organ” or piano. I couldn’t even find King James!

The church is on Earth to save souls from a lost world, not to save the world from lost souls.

Man learns about history, not from history. To learn from history requires wisdom. Cut off from God, he has none, so history repeats; no new thing under the sun.

        Ha Ha-- yes, I know
the Kjv Only types think drums are the satanic jungle beat that summons demons into churches...
according to some , neither the Greek nor the Hebrew is the Word of God, as only the 1611 KJV was the Bible preserved by God and that people must learn English to read The Word !!!
Forget that you cant even read the 1611 Bible without great difficulty
Anyway, I've given up fussing with them over those things...
just between me and you ...all...

I use almost exclusively the KJV. It’s not the version that’s the issue, it’s what some have built up around it.

I know some KJV only folk that are great brothers and sisters. And then I know some that make me question their salvation .. though I know that only the Lord knows about that.

            Luke 18:
            9
And he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others:
10 Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.
11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.
12 I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.
13 And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.
14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

            Proverbs 16:
            18
Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.

As far as Holy Soldier goes PlumBob .. they were one of many bands I heard often at my house as well as at Christian concerts. The lyrics from most of the bands back then were so very good.

I have heard shared testimony at a Holy Soldier concert (yes, many bands back then made space for Christians to come up and share testimonies ) from a girl that turned from having an abortion after hearing their song, See No Evil. If you look it up on youtube w/lyrics, it is enough to make one cry as it is sung from the baby's perspective.

I raised six children and we were a very Word centered family .. daily. It is all God; all of God's grace that they grew up and each became born again and each married godly spouses. Guess what? Christian music, not liked by some (too bad), was a significant part of their upbringing. My 43 year old son started playing drums when he was 4 and continues to today, at his church.

We should carefully and prayerfully judge but never be judgemental; the former a command of God and the latter, a very fleshly attitude.

So, Issachar, it appears that you and I are the only ones who have heard Holy Soldier. I only heard one song "Crazy." But it reminded me a lot of Bride, or perhaps Skillet

                All good stuff ..

Issachar, thinking Lewis should introduce his fellowship to it .. ya never know.

Yes, I know that God Rocks!

I do hope we will have WhiteHeart, Petra, 2nd Chapter of Acts, and Bride concerts in Heaven. Please, God, let it be so.

                    Psalms 98:
4 Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise.

                    loud?
