  • Waiting in the wings...the AntiChrist... Jan Markel and guest

    Interesting hour long audio program

once again, Jan and guest are insisting the AC's covenant is about Israel.... Maybe, but I point out that scripture does not say that is the case... it could well be that:

Daniel's 70 week is about God dealing with the Jewish people, yes, through tribulation bringing them back to himself......
It is imho an assunption that the treaty is solely about Israel... Satan wants to set up his New world Order kingdom and I think that is the main focus of the 7 year treaty... All the nearby arabs will have been wiped out when God destroys Gog... so a treaty to make Israel safe is unnecessary...

Since the EU wants to do 7 year treaties, this a good reason for them to start off the worldwide peace deal in a 7 year treaty trial period !!!

Anyway, we will be gone before any of this happens...

There is far more reason, Biblically and otherwise (as I have pointed out elsewhere), to think that the Antichrist-confirmed 7-Year Treaty will focus upon Israel and Jerusalem than to think it will not do so. Note, as well, that it is a strawman argument to claim that the view that the 7-year Treaty will "focus upon" Israel is the same as thinking that the 7-Year Treaty "is SOLELY about Israel". The former is not equivalent to, and does not imply, the latter. For instance, I might comment upon a guitarist's guitar, and "focus upon" the guitar's strings, let's say. But that would not necessarily mean I would comment "SOLELY" about the guitar's strings -- I very likely would also make some comments about the shape and coloring of the guitar.

The World government is set up at the time the 7 year trib begins... my senario accounts for all the facts we can know now...

Just because ""everybody knows"" something does not mean its the entire --or even correct--answer...

You are, unfortunately, once again distorting my arguments. I have never claimed that the 7-Year Treaty will be "SOLELY" about Israel. Likewise, I have never appealed to the "popularity" of the view that the 7-Year Treaty will focus upon Israel and Jerusalem as an argument in its favor.

I know you haven't done this on purpose, but please be a little more careful.

dear Brother, I am not attempting to distort you opinion, merely pointing out an alternative reality which is often overlooked by most all expositors... We can have differing conclusions on the evidence..... A number of opinions from early expositors have been updated as time progresses, and more is revealed...
The "confirming a covenant with many" is one such verse that can have at least two meaning for example... Another is 2 Thess 2.... ... lets be good B ereans and search daily...

Agreed. Which is why I have been researching about the "Gog and Magog War" recently. And I found something which to me fairly clearly identifies when the "Gog and Magog War" occurs. That war is described in a fair amount of detail in Ezekiel 38, of course, but Ezekiel does not really provide any clues about when the war will occur, instead just providing some characteristics of Israel and a few other nations at the time of the war.

I was doing some reading about the Gog and Magog War today, and read several people's opinions that it occurs after the Millennium, after Satan's release from the bottomless pit, where he will have been imprisoned during the Millennium. That seemed to be an interesting theory, so I read Revelation 20. Here is what I found in Revelation 20:7-10 (NKJV):

"Now when the thousand years have expired, Satan will be released from his prison and will go out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle, whose number is as the sand of the sea. They went up on the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city. And fire came down from God out of heaven and devoured them. The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever."

The Holy Spirit here seems to clearly identify the Gog and Magog War as occurring at some unspecified time AFTER the end of the Millennium. Makes sense to me.

The Gog Magog after the Millennium is a type and shadow of the actual fulfillment of the actual Gog battle at the beginning of the tribulation...note that the Jews bury the dead for months, and burn the weapons of war for fuel for 7 years!!! Neither of these things can happen after the Millennium... Note that God sends fire down from heaven to kill off burn to ashes the final "Gog" type army, far different from the Quakes, Hailstones & Flood God uses to stop Russia Turkey and Iran in the soon coming Gog war!!!
This is one thing I am absolutely sure of !!!
Now the Rapture can happen before or after the Gog war...I am thinking a rapture before since the Holy Spirit is no longer restraining Russia after the Rapture, so Gog then comes forth...

"...[N]ote that the Jews bury the dead for months, and burn the weapons of war for fuel for 7 years!!! Neither of these things can happen after the Millennium...."

                  Why not?

"Note that God sends fire down from heaven to kill off burn to ashes the final 'Gog' type army, far different from the Quakes, Hailstones & Flood God uses to stop Russia Turkey and Iran in the soon coming Gog war!!!"

                  Ezekiel 38:22 (NKJV) reads:

"And I will bring him [Gog] to judgment with pestilence and bloodshed; I will rain down on him, on his troops, and on the many peoples who are with him, flooding rain, great hailstones, fire, and brimstone."

Hmmmmmmm.... I note that you listed three of the four "judgments" God metes out upon Gog's armies (quakes [actually just one], flooding, and hailstones) mentioned in Ezekiel 38, but somehow left out the fourth -- namely, God's pouring out upon Gog's armies "fire, and brimstone". That essentially refutes your entire argument in this case regarding God sending "fire down from heaven" indicating the "Gog and Magog" of the Millennium's end must be different from (in timing, at least) the Gog and Magog of Ezekiel 38. Maybe they are different, but in both descriptions of Gog and Magog in Ezekiel and Revelation, "fire, and brimstone" are part of God's judgment upon them.

At the end of the Millennium, the whole Earth comes against Israel....are destroyed by fire...

After the final destruction of Satans army, the Earth universe are destroyed by fire, the great white throne judgment... then a new heavens and new Earth... no 7 year grace period anywhere.... and yes, no bodies to be buried no weapons of war to be burned by israel, as God has already burned them up
