The EU, the 7-Year Treaty, and 42 months

So we should ignore the Biblical prophecies of events that will transpire after the Rapture, and not point out signs that fit said prophecies very exactly and seem to indicate the nearness of the 7-Year Tribulation, and therefore also of the preceding Rapture?

The Bible only mentions the 7 years in the context of Israel and Jerusalem. That doesn't mean its SOLE focus is Israel and Jerusalem, but it does mean that its PRIMARY focus is Israel and Jerusalem. It is not "only an assumption" that the Antichrist's 7-Year Treaty is "about" Israel -- rather, it is a direct Biblical implication from the 70 Weeks Prophecy mentioned in Daniel 9.

But none of this affects salvation, or helps one grow in Christ or Christlikeness. It still is important, but not necessary to know, or to have the correct understanding regarding how it will all play out. So, God bless, but know that you're still wrong.

Daniel's 70 week is about God dealing with the Jewish people, yes, through tribulation bringing them back to himself......
It is imho an assunption that the treaty is solely about Israel... Satan wants to set up his New world Order kingdom and I think that is the main focus of the 7 year treaty... All the nearby arabs will have been wiped out when God destroys Gog... so a treaty to make Israel safe is unnecessary...

Since the EU wants to do 7 year treaties, this a good reason for them to start off the worldwide peace deal in a 7 year treaty trial period !!!

Anyway, we will be gone before any of this happens...

The Antichrist's 7-Year Treaty marks the final "week" (7 years) of those 70 weeks (70 years). The angel Gabriel explicitly says that those "weeks" are focused upon Israel and Jerusalem. Seems fairly straightforward.

The timing of the Gog war is uncertain... Mhp is that the sudden weakness of America due to the rapture, as well as the removal of the restrainer, is what causes Satan to start the Gog war... and that Daniel's covenant is in response to these two events...
only time will tell...

Yes, there has been "talk" about the EU doing 7-year treaties in the Mediterranean for quite some time -- I myself had first noticed that back around 1992, probably. But this is the first that I have "noticed" the EU having an actual, explicit, formal 7-year agreement involving Mediterranean nations (apparently including, or likely to include, Israel), AND which agreement (renewed every seven years) is reviewed in the middle of the seven years.

It is my opinion that the Rapture occurs prior to the confirming of the 7-Year Treaty, and that the confirming of the 7-Year Treaty occurs prior to the Gog war. The description in Daniel of the 7-Year Treaty occurs in the context of the angel Gabriel saying (Daniel 9:24-27 [NKJV]),

²⁵ “Seventy weeks are determined
For your people and for your holy city,
To finish the transgression,
To make an end of sins,
To make reconciliation for iniquity,
To bring in everlasting righteousness,
To seal up vision and prophecy,
And to anoint the Most Holy.

²⁵ “Know therefore and understand,
That from the going forth of the command
To restore and build Jerusalem
Until Messiah the Prince,
There shall be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks;
The street shall be built again, and the wall,
Even in troublesome times.

²⁶ “And after the sixty-two weeks
Messiah shall be cut off, but not for Himself;
And the people of the prince who is to come
Shall destroy the city and the sanctuary.
The end of it shall be with a flood,
And till the end of the war desolations are determined.

²⁷ Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week;
But in the middle of the week
He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering.
And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate,
Even until the consummation, which is determined,
Is poured out on the desolate.”

The very beginning of Gabriel's prophecy identifies the focus of the "70 Weeks": That is,

"Seventy weeks are determined
For your people and for your holy city,...."

The focus is Israel and Jerusalem. That focus does not change in the final 7 years described in the prophecy. So it seems most likely that the Antichrist's 7-Year Treaty does focus upon Israel, and Jerusalem, since Israel, and Jerusalem, are the focus of the 70 Weeks prophecy.

There has been talk about the EU doing 7 year treaties in the Mediterranian world for quite some time... I don't remember when I first noticed it...
Once again I must note that it is only an assumption that the AC's 7 year treaty is about Israel... Imho it is much more likely that this treaty is about setting up the one world government--after the rapture AND the Gog war, which has destroyed the arab & moslom""civilizations""... Since the mosloms are just plain "gone", no treaty about Israel is necessary...

When did you find out that the EU had a 7-year financial policy agreement with Mediterranean countries that was renewed every seven years, and reviewed in the middle of each of those seven years?

The king of Spain has the best claim to the Crusader era title of "King of Jerusalem" The crown of England and Austria also have good claims.... All this was discussed way back in the dark ages before wedg ... Prince Charles was considered as a possible AC candidate..
Southwest Radio Church had lots to say on this and simular topics in their monthly newsletter in the 80's and 90s.... I still have some issues in my old notebooks... after all Jesus just HAD to come back before 1990!!! Just Had To !!! and now 30 years later, we're all still waiting.... Back then, all the monthly prophecy news would easily fit in a 4 page newsletter!!!

I had not been aware that the EU's "Neighborhood Partnership" agreements with neighboring (mainly Mediterranean) countries are for 7 years, and that they are reviewed in the middle of those 7 years (after 3 years and 6 months in one case, or 3 years and 5 months in the handful of other cases). I wasn't aware of this until reading the above article around February 20, 2020.

I don't agree with the author's opinion that Javier Solana is the Antichrist, but if the Antichrist is the King of Spain, then it would make sense that he would have various of his "minions" in positions of power.
