Saw a vid yesterday where this is being likened to the Spanish flu that killed 50 million around 100 years ago. The one apparent difference is this doesn't appear to be quite as communicable but I have a feeling they're still learning about it.

Crazy thing about it was, unlike most flus it didn't kill the elderly and yhoung children as much as it did the health.

The vast numbers of infected versus deaths is true - my great grandma never talked aobut it, but my great uncle says she was the first to catch it in her neighborhood and always felt bad about bringing it in, especially becasue her oldest sister's husand died form it; he was the only one who did in that neighborhood, anyway.

So, there were a lot more infected than those who died. I've seen numbers between 50 million and 100 million as far as deaths worldwide, so it's hard to tell, the estimats were very wide on a lot of these. (I've also read "5-7% of world population died, which is pretty big when you're at 1.9 billion)

The 1/3 infected also reminded me that it was tu to 1/3 of the world which perished from the Black Plague in the 1340s-1350s. I think I've read where that's about as many as you can have because much more potent and it'd die out to quickly to infect that many more. Bt, I don't know if that was just talking about back then.
