  • Israel to Launch Ad Campaign to Promote Jewish Ritual Baths for Women

Israel’s government advertising agency has begun producing an ad campaign for the Religious Affairs Ministry to encourage Israeli women to immerse in a ritual bath (mikveh) after menstruation. The ads are to be shown on television and digital platforms, at a cost 1 million shekels ($282,000).

The Jewish religious commandment for women to immerse in a ritual bath is based on the religious principle that women are unclean after menstruation until they do so. A couple is not allowed to have sex until the woman has immersed after her period.
This is not the first time that the Religious Affairs Ministry has exceeded its authority – which is to provide religious services to those who seek them – and launched a campaign meant to encourage obedience to the laws of the Jewish religion

There are articles once again from many different corners questioning the future of "rule of law" in Israel.

When advocating for Israel, diaspora Jews take great pride in characterizing the Jewish state, cantankerous and messy as its politics may be, as the only democracy in the Middle East.
The already contentious issue of marital choice, both important in its own right and as a symbol of larger issues around the domains of religion and state authority, has emerged as a potent issue in Israel’s upcoming election. Major parties on both the left and the right, including Blue and White, Yisrael Beiteinu, and the Democratic Camp, have declared they will introduce bills advocating for marriage freedom.

Netanyahu is promoting full rights for the LGBTQ community.

But people are moving Israel to a theocracy...…

      Definition of theocracy
      1
: government of a state by immediate divine guidance or by officials who are regarded as divinely guided
      2
      : a state governed by a theocracy

What is fascinating is the fact many countries are pushing same things.

Prepping for the AC and FP???

Israel actively pushing Palestinian emigration from Gaza, official says

Israel is actively promoting the emigration of Palestinians from Gaza, and is even checking if other countries, including in the Middle East, are willing to absorb them, a senior Israeli official says.
Last year, more than 35,000 Gazans already left the Hamas-run coastal clip, the senior officials says.
“That’s a pretty high number,” the senior official says.
Israel is even willing to consider allowing Gazans to use an Israeli airport close to Gaza to allow those Palestinians leave for their new host countries, the official says, likely referring to the Nevatim airport.
The National Security Council has been dealing with the effort for the last year, according to the senior official.
Israel has recently spoken to European leaders and even countries in the region, asking if they were ready to accept Palestinians who want to leave the Strip, he says. So far, no country has agreed to absorb them, though

PA Police ban Palestinian LGBT group from holding activities in West Bank

Palestinian Authority police have banned a Palestinian LGBT rights group from organizing any activities in the West Bank and threatened to arrest them, saying such activities are contrary to the “values of Palestinian society.”
In a statement Saturday, police spokesman Louay Arzeikat said events such as those organized by the group al-Qaws “go against and infringe upon the higher principles and values of Palestinian society.”

Interesting twist but something to think about??? The ADL has a point????

New Trump Admin Rule Would Let Religious Employers Fire LGBT, Jewish Employees, Critics Warn

A new Labor Department proposal would allow religious federal contractors to hire and fire people based on their beliefs.

The proposal, announced Wednesday, would let religious organizations make employment decisions “consistent with their sincerely held religious tenets and beliefs.”

The ADL has lots of points but never a valid one.

I think this is a lot of smoke. The article mentions 1 in 4 workers ..

About one in four workers is employed by a government contractor, according to the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU).
overblown concern that may even exceed the cnn standard.

I’m trying to think which religious organizations are contracted by the U.S. Government. There may be one, but I don’t know it offhand. If there is, I guarantee it doesn’t employ a quarter of American workers.

I wonder if all the liberal groups have concerns about muslim owned businesses letting go Christian and Jewish employees? That is, if they even have any .. as the aclu looks the other way.

Remember the video I posted from hidden cameras on people going to muslim owned bakery’s asking for same sex “wedding” cakes? They all refused. The uproar from the aclu could have drowned out the sound of ant footsteps.

But alas, “the world” is going to go on doing as the world does with increasing intensity to it’s end.

I do not brush off the ADL especially as the Jews were right many years ago about walking carefully re the Muslims and where it could lead re the Jews. Their knowledge of the mentality surrounding Hitler etc. have so far been correct. For me it isn't about left or right. Both are needed to get where it is heading. What comes next.

I would be interested in this. Can you point me in a direction on this? I'm not sure about "mentality surrounding hitler .." My wife and I study that era to a degree. Thanks.

Likewise. But it somewhat depends on what is meant by left and right too. The devil is (mho) at his all time "best" in disseminating confusion. I believe his work is all about Isaiah 5:20.

Sometimes I fall into using left and right terms but it's in consideration of the audience/reader. Depends. But I do still adhere to belief in some version of the Third Way being on it's way. I generally prefer using liberal and conservative more often but the element of confusion is encroaching upon that too. There are those that believe in relativism (no absolute truth) and those that believe in absolutes (absolute truth) e.g. this whole, strange gender identity thing ... "strange" is a gross understatement me thinks. Gender, as we know, is not "relative" to anything in regards to how one feels. You're either male or female (yes, I am aware of medical anomalies). Abortion is another. It's not right or wrong relative to a circumstance or how one feels, etc., but is absolutely wrong as the baby in the womb is a human in the image of God; after His likeness. Life is full of absolute truths. But of course, not to the exclusion of some things being relative, largely in the realm of opinion. Someone may be amazed at the beauty of the Rocky Mountains or the Grand Canyon and another may think of them as .. ehh, whatever.

Also, this evening I read about the ADL's stance on BDS. I am pleased with it.

Issachar, always, ultimately, believes the real dividing line is "those in Christ" and "those not in Christ."

Andy it is actually all very related imvho
The article below is talking about the same groups of Jews in Israel who are promoting "ritual bathes" the OT laws etc.. Those who started "King Cyrus"(because of Jared) Those who are expecting the "messiah" next. They are particular groups of Jews.
Including the ones in President Trump's world, "Chabad" Jews. This is why he believes these American Jews are disloyal etc.

Trump tweets claim Israelis ‘love him like he is the second coming of God’

US president quotes radio host Wayne Allyn Root, who says Jewish state adores him as ‘the King of Israel’ but that US Jews ‘don’t even know what they’re doing’ anymore
US President Donald Trump on Wednesday promoted a claim that he has achieved godlike status in Israel and that the Jewish population of the country adore him as their “king.”
Trump tweeted the remarks by radio host and conspiracy theorist Wayne Allyn Root, which were broadcast Tuesday on his show.
“President Trump is the greatest President for Jews and for Israel in the history of the world, not just America, he is the best President for Israel in the history of the world…and the Jewish people in Israel love him like he’s the King of Israel,” Trump quoted Root as saying. “They love him like he is the second coming of God.”
“But American Jews don’t know him or like him,” the tweet continued. “They don’t even know what they’re doing or saying anymore. It makes no sense! But that’s OK, if he keeps doing what he’s doing, he’s good for all Jews, Blacks, Gays, everyone. And importantly, he’s good for everyone in America who wants a job.”
“Wow!” added Trump, while thanking Root for “the very nice words.”

How it really was – and is : Chabad, Israel and Zionism

                        It starts with
Chabad is known for its gentle, warm and welcoming face, providing succor and meals to those who need help in faraway places or wish to have access to kosher food.
                        and ends with

One of the reasons is the fundamentalist tribalism of their ideology. Generally, most of their rabbis know their view of Jewish history, and their learning is often practical regarding kosher observance and the minutiae of Sabbath and holiday observance, and does not embrace the field of social justice. For those Chabadniks I have spoken with, the Five Books of Moses, the Talmud, the Book of Zohar and the Lubavitch credo Tanya all have the same force and validity.

Add to this the fact that Rabbi Menachem Mendel never forbade his followers to crown him as Moshiach (the Messiah), and the glorification of “770” as a second Jerusalem. Lubavitch messianists’ belief that Rabbi Schneerson “will return, that he still lives” does not seem at all to be within the realm of Jewish teachings.

Again, we see that life is more complicated than what we see on the surface. Under all that is “kosher” is extremism with a smile.
                        https://www.jpost.com/Israel-News/Ho...Zionism-598705

The above was posted yesterday in JPost. Although Chabad Jews have acquired great power in the back scenes of political powers for what was a small group... not all agree with them. I heard one Jewish fellow this morning declare "President Trump is not my "messiah"!!!

The best line in that article above, imvho????
Again, we see that life is more complicated than what we see on the surface.

                          from yesterday
PM and Ukraine president discuss possible Israeli mediation in Russia conflict

Netanyahu talks 'faith' with Kiev Jews

Faith is Israel's secret to success, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said to Jewish leaders in Kiev on Tuesday in an address shot through with religious motifs.

"It is very moving to be here, and to again visit Babi Yar, and to understand the incredible distance we traveled from the fields of slaughter to the peaks of nations. Israel today is a world power, a rising power in the world,” he said.

“This people that was almost destroyed, that was slaughtered without mercy – this people stands today at the head of a strong, mighty, advanced, flourishing state – first and foremost because of faith. Without faith, nothing is important. Without faith we would not have brought about the miracle of Israel's rebirth in its land. A faith that was passed from generation to generation, even in the most difficult times.”

Netanyahu's faith-infused address to Jewish leaders in Ukraine – many of them affiliated with Chabad – is in stark contrast to the anti-haredi campaign being waged by Avigdor Lieberman, with whom Netanyahu is now battling for the Russian-speaking electorate.
