  • Greenblatt holds door open for east Jerusalem as Palestinian capital

US special envoy Jason Greenblatt appeared to give a nod in the direction of east Jerusalem as a Palestinian capital, even as he assured the UN Security Council on Tuesday that Israel’s right to the city was above international law.
Greenblatt clarified that “Jerusalem is a city of three world faiths,” and that freedom to worship there must be protected.

      Interesting wording
That does not mean that the Palestinians can’t aspire to have a capital in east Jerusalem, with creative solutions that attempt to respect all three religions that cherish this incredible city

        Interesting indeed.

        Issachar
The church is on Earth to save souls from a lost world, not to save the world from lost souls.

Man learns about history, not from history. To learn from history requires wisdom. Cut off from God, he has none, so history repeats; no new thing under the sun.

I saw ten thousand talkers whose tongues were all broken - dylan

Psalms 122:8 For my brethren and companions' sakes, I will now say, Peace be within thee.

Netanyahu Worried that Trump May Connect Gaza and The West Bank

According to the Middle East Monitor, the US will meet out severe repercussions if either the Palestinian Authority, Hamas or Israel don’t accept the peace deal.
If Israel refuses the deal, the US would cut off any financial support to the Jewish State.

Israel Begins Tearing Down Palestinian Housing on Edge of East Jerusalem

Israeli equipment arrived before dawn on Monday and began clawing at the first of 10 Palestinian apartment blocks that were scheduled for demolition because the government said they were built too close to its security barrier in a Palestinian area of the West Bank abutting Israeli-annexed East Jerusalem

Interesting little side note about Boris Johnson from an article lamb&lion posted last night.

He has great-grandparents who were Christian, Muslim, and
Jewish and sometimes refers to himself as a “one-man melting pot.”

Liberman: Do we want a Jewish state or halakhic state?

Liberman wrote, "On September 17, every citizen of the State of Israel will have to ask himself only one question: Which country do we want to live in? A Jewish state or a halakhic state in which a group of delusional rabbis will impose a religious coercion, extort the government and determine our way of life according to the laws of King David or King Saul. This narrow government is a great trouble and we will not give it a hand. Childhood: 1964–1977
Johnson was born to British parents on 19 June 1964 in Manhattan's Upper East Side in New York City.[5] His birth was registered with both the U.S authorities and the city's British Consulate, thereby granting him both American and British citizenship.[6] His father, Stanley Johnson, was then studying economics at Columbia University.[7] Johnson's mother is Charlotte Fawcett;[8] an artist from a family of liberal intellectuals, she had married Stanley in 1963, prior to their move to the U.S.[9]
Johnson's maternal grandfather was the lawyer Sir James Fawcett.[10] Johnson's paternal great-grandfather was Circassian-Turkish journalist Ali Kemal[11][12][13] who was a secular Muslim; his father's other ancestry includes English, German and French, including descent from King George II of Great Britain.[14] Johnson's mother is the granddaughter of Elias Avery Lowe, a palaeographer, who was a Russian Jewish immigrant to the U.S.,[15] and Helen Tracy Lowe-Porter, a translator of Thomas Mann. Johnson's maternal great-grandfather was a Lithuanian Jew and Orthodox Jewish rabbi.[16] In reference to his varied ancestry, Johnson has described himself as a "one-man melting pot" – with a combination of Muslims, Jews, and Christians as great-grandparents.[17] Johnson was given the middle name "Boris" after a Russian émigré his parents had once met.[7]
