      For everyones information...
I honestly believe WeDG would not be here today if it were not for Plumbob.
I went through a very challenging time a few years ago and was absolutely ready to "throw in the towel".
(It is almost scary how easy it is to shut this board off.)
      Then I talked to Plumbob.
      And I unloaded on him.
"How do I know that I'm not being led to close down the ministry and move on?"
He listenened-- then he spoke in such a gentle tone and he spoke wisdom...and love.
Not a note of judgment, not a note of disappointment - no way. Just love.
And even since then - if I get discouraged I am reminded of our conversation.
"God will never lead us into another direction by using discouragement as His tool"
That impacted me then...and many times, since.

My hope and prayer is he recovers and reads this thread!

In Gods timing, this was tonights Bible reading... So moving, profound, comforts us all:

2Co 5:1 For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
2Co 5:2 For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven:
2Co 5:3 If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked.
2Co 5:4 For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life.
2Co 5:5 Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit.
2Co 5:6 Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord:
2Co 5:7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight
2Co 5:8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.
2Co 5:9 Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.
2Co 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
2Co 5:11 Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.
2Co 5:12 For we commend not ourselves again unto you, but give you occasion to glory on our behalf, that ye may have somewhat to answer them which glory in appearance, and not in heart.
2Co 5:13 For whether we be beside ourselves, it is to God: or whether we be sober, it is for your cause.
2Co 5:14 For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead:
2Co 5:15 And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.
2Co 5:16 Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.
2Co 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
        2Co 5:18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
2Co 5:19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
2Co 5:20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
2Co 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

I gotten a couple of emails from him today, and I do believe he is much better. Still not quite out of the woods, but he is, mmmm, talking about how loud it is in the hospital, and how he can't get any rest when folks are coming in all the time interrupting him, etc...LOL. Yep, still not quite out of the woods, but definitely sounds better. Praise God.

Thank you, Lamb&Lion and Butterflies, for posting the prayers. When we pray according to God's Word, we can be sure we are praying His will. It makes it so much easier for us all to be united in prayer.

Though maybe to early to say everything is going to be ok, a couple of recent tests yielded pretty good results. If it is the Lord's will, I'm praying that PlumBob gets to go home soon and get some real rest. I'm sure he will be recovering for awhile; and I'm still praying with emphasis on the word recover. Still, "In all things, God is good." In all things, praise God!

Still asking that you keep Plumbob in your prayers. He has a couple of more tests/procedures to get through, but he feels he is going to be ok. All in all, he will recover. I pray that he is out and about and back to sharing his wisdom as soon as our Lord wills it.

                              PLUMBOB LIVES

I am alive LOL. Home after 25 days in the hospital. Plus 2 days home in the middle of that. W/O going into details, I had a problem in my intestine. Lots of CT scans, lots of antibiotics, and a couple of other things I won't describe here.

I very much appreciate all of your prayers. I know that they were part of my getting well (enough to come home.) You all are such a blessing to me - I can't describe my gratitude. God Bless You All For Your Sustaining Prayers.

I've got a long road ahead, in order to get back to "normal" - whatever that is LOL But I'll be here.

                              Thanks Again.

                              PB

Well of course you’re alive! You have eternal life!

                                welcome back !

The church is on Earth to save souls from a lost world, not to save the world from lost souls.

Man learns about history, not from history. To learn from history requires wisdom. Cut off from God, he has none, so history repeats; no new thing under the sun.

I saw ten thousand talkers whose tongues were all broken - dylan

Psalms 122:8 For my brethren and companions' sakes, I will now say, Peace be within thee.
