The End of MWM

Greetings all,

Letting everyone know that after somewhere around 28 years, when our annual hosting expires on 08/24/2025, Millennium Weekend Ministries we will not be renewing. Lack of interest for the past many years makes it clear to Esther and me that it does not make any sense to continue to keep the site running.

Many thanks to the handful of folks that have stuck it out with us. Perhaps very soon we shall all meet when we hear the glorious voice of our Savior calling us home to the Father's house. Certainly any who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ alone for their salvation, repenting with a "broken and contrite heart" (Ps 34:18 and 51:17) will find mercy and will indeed be caught up together to meet our Savior in the air.

What a glorious day that will be.

In Christ alone,
Andy

  • Al Jazeera: Why Can't Arab Armies Be More Like Israel?

    Strange days

In a development that might shock many, Al-Jazeera has openly admitted that the Israeli army is far more humane than any Arab armed force, and far less cruel than it is typically portrayed by supposedly objective Western media.
As evidence that the Israeli army does not engage in indiscriminate shelling, the host noted that Hezbollah fighters regularly "take shelter in areas populated by civilians because it knows that the Israeli air force doesn’t bomb those areas..."

The Al-Jazeera host even praised Israel's use of water canons and rubber bullets to break up Palestinian demonstrations, rather than the "rockets or explosive barrels" employed by the Syrian army.

Can we send this person to visit every single person in the UN please. Maybe Israel would get a pat on the back once in awhile instead of the constant slap on the hands they get.

I was in Egypt and Israel in 1971 and I saw with my own eyes the vast difference between the armies. The nickname for the Egyptians were "the 8 to 5 army". In Israel, the army were seen everywhere! I only hope that this difference continues because of the coming Middle East war!

Well, we know from the Word that Israel will lose some major battles - and win some as well. In the end they will be right at the point of Jerusalem falling then their enemies will wish they hadn't made this choice!

I've often imagined the terror of seeing heavens open and Jesus riding on a white horse, us behind Him, all arrayed for battle.... wow. I realize we don't know how much of that picture in Revelation is symbolic but since I believe we are to take scripture at face-value, only making something symbolic when it's clear this is the intent of the passage, I think this will be quite a display for the world to see.

I take that passage to be literal.
Revelation 19:8 and 19:14 appear to speak of these people dressed in the exact same clothing.
So I take it to mean the bride (us) in vs 8 is clothed as the same as the armies of Heaven in vs 14.
It only makes sense we would be part of the event, when Christ comes back to set foot on the earth.
