Orcas are no longer just at sea world... The Organizational Relationship Contact Organizer is a computer program that monitors groups of people... who you know, where you go, how often you meet, where, which brand of snack crackers you buy ( thats still in beta for now )....
Anyway, Orca has been developed to monitor insurgents ((PC meaning Moslom terrorists)) in Afganistan, came to Chicago recently to monitor gangs((Chicago street gangs not Obama gangs)) and is coming to your neighborhood soon... All criminal, terrorist and extreemist antisocial groups will be monitored for hateful & criminal behavior ...

While I "get" your word-play Jane Fonda is reported (by many) to be a born-again believer - perhaps it'd be best not poke fun at her past. She is a new creation and likely not very proud of her past (quite likely an understatement).

Jane Fonda may be "searching", but she is no Christian yet (as of June 10, 2009), if her words are any indicator. Her own words at her own web site about her "faith."

No Jane, Jesus is quite different .. quite set apart from, the likes of mohammad, buddah, etc. No Jane, Jesus was not a extremist feminist. I'm sorry for all the whatever bad experiences you've had with Christians, if real, but I wouldn't mind taking a bit of time out of one of my days to talk with you. Search with all your preconceptions dropped. No Jane, it was not men, in the absence of women, that decided what is scripture .. or not. The Word of God is inspired by God. You can trust that He knows what He is doing. Turn off the worldly voices. Turn off yoga. Seek the truth as opposed to believing you have found the truth. No Jane, you do not want "Words like ‘Thou Shalt,’ ‘Salvation,” ‘Lord,’ and ‘Repentance,’ drowned out one of my favorite Sufi poems by Hafiz: (see article for poem )

I winced when God was spoken of as a man. God is beyond gender, beyond being, and although gendering God as “Him” may not seem consequential to many, I think it belies the nonbeingness of the Divine. Seeing God as “Him” only serves to reinforce the belief that since God is man, then man is God-like and women are less-than.

Stop "wincing" Jane. It is God that refers to Himself with the words in scripture.

Over time, and, I feel, because I stepped outside of established religion, I was able to rekindle the spiritual experience that I’d been seeking. Some will say that because of all this I am not a true Christian. So be it. I feel like a Christian, I believe in the teachings of Jesus and try to practice them in my life. I have found Christians all over this country who feel as I do. They may not have been ‘saved’ yet they hum with divine spirit.

My faith is a work in progress (as am I) but I will plant my flag on the belief that God lives within each of us as Spirit (or soul). I like what Reverend Forrest Church says: “God is not God’s name. God is our name for that which is greater than all and yet present in all.” I believe that Christ was the personal incarnation of the divine wisdom in everything, including every form of spiritual expression.

Another result of my faith is that I have become a deeper, more embodied feminist. Helen LaKelly Hunt is right when she says in her book “Faith & Feminism,” that feminism is about fighting for the core beliefs and values of Christianity. “Religion and feminism are different expressions of the same impulse toward making life more just and whole.”

You're not the only one who reads with their heart sometimes, hoping that some famous person has been saved. I do that quite often.

Although part of this may be layuable at a false teaching that used to go around. God became flesh, but that is the 2nd part of the Godhead. We have 5, 6 year old kids learning about the Trinity in AWANA on Wednesday nights and in Sunday School, so there can be no mistake. However, there was a school of thought at one time that our being in the image of God meant that he had all the physical features of a human. if jane Fonda was exposed to such a thing when younger, it makes sense that she imagined God to be just this great big man, and rebelled gaisnt that. he is not some 100-foot tall man with superpowers, though.

It's complex, of course, but this is why we start children early teaching them about God theFather, Son, and Spirit, so they understand this is just how He relates to us. And, if a child has an abusive or absent father, we try to help them understand what a real father is supposed to be like. And they can start to understand that at an early age.

It's so sad when some churches think kids can't understand sound doctrine. Can a 6YO get propitiation or substitutionary atonement? No, thse are pretty tricky. But when Jane refers to "died for our sins" as just "key words" it shows she didn't understand (and mayor may not have been taught) something she could grasp very easily at a very young age.

They weren't just key words that made her "Christian." They described a concept that said she had offended a perfect, holy God through her thoughts, deeds, and actions, that that offense kept her from His perfect Heaven, and that he reconciled her to Himself by being made flesh and dwelling amongst us, laying down His life for her to take the punishment she deserved, and rising again the 3rd day. And, that it wasn't saying "key words" - it was putting her trust in Jesus Christ to save her from her sins that made her a Christian.

Sorry for the ramble, but some of what she says just makes me wonder about how many in oru churches today are taught - and causes me to realize just how far we have to go in explaining certain key concepts at times so that people understand them. The first person I ever led to Christ was my then-9YO cousin,a nd he asked me to go over the prayer slowly so he could memorize it. That was a very important lesson I never forgot - I told him what I have told numerous people since, to make sure they understand the words aren't what saves you, as Ms. Fonda may have been led to believe. As I told that cousin, who then did trust Christ as SAviour, it's trusting in Christ with your5 whole heart to save you.

It wasn't that, Doug. I really thought I had read a very conclusive report stating her firm stance for Jesus. I honestly don't read with my heart. If someone states they're a believer I look for very key wording in what they say, like we all should. Then, of course, we need to examine lives (not easy with Celeb's). And in the end know that we are only "fruit inspectors" and only God is the "heart-inspector"!

Thanks, Doug. I'm definitely married to a dear lady that is indeed blessed with the spiritual gift of mercy as her chief gift - she is one that truly thinks with her heart/emotions first quite often. Makes for a precious lady, that's for sure.
